If any of you in Denver want to do a liesurely drive with some good views at the top and some awesome and huge bolders and maybe through in a great hike, take the Dakan Rd drive (Funtreks book) to Rampart Range Rd next May or later after it opens. (It closes for the winter.) Nothing difficult. doesn't require an LC or even 4x4. Higher center is preferable. But it is a great little drive and one I like to do when I just want to get away for 2-3 hours. The hike is the climb up Devil's Head. Awesome. But, again, the gate is closed for the winter so you would have a quarter to half mile additional distance to get out to the parking area.

Here are some iPhone pics from my brief afternoon drive on Nov 30th - they closed it for the winter the next day.

Love the rig, what size tires are those?

She must feel unstoppable with that wheel/tire package! And AHC to keep the shiny bits off the rocks.

Gotta give you some style points too. Looking good!

Thanks! I’m totally sold on AHC. Really feels like an almost no compromise setup for our needs.

@SoonerDPT and @jefo13, my tires are the 285/65 R18 KO2s. Same as many on this forum. Ran them almost since day 1 (August 1, 2016, 30K miles ago) with a stock suspension. The pics included here are with a 2” lift that we did in early September.

Play date at Tahuya ORV w/some friends from GXOR! The last time I was here with @kreiten, @mattv94, and @Ali M on 20" rubberband tires. Having a lot more sidewall made it a little more enjoyable this time :)

Ended up bridging maxtrax to hop off the steps after watching a buddy smack hard on his sliders:

So where s Tahuya located? May need to give it a run when I’m out there this summer.

Your LX looks great.

Thank you!

Tahuya is near Belfair, WA. You’ll need a day pass if you are out of state but you can buy one online.

Hit me up if you decide to go!

Thanks! Just made a reservation for Belfair State Park the week after Labor Day. We'll see how the summer plays out but if it works, we'll be there. I also have a reservation over on the east side of the Cascades at that time so I will need to move that one a week later.

Did you know you can actually delete posts?

On a phone or tablet...you have to tap the three little lines near the bottom of the post. That will bring up a menu, including "Delete."

Boom. Gone, and no need to write "delete" in unwanted posts.

Day trip out to Anza Borrego (Calcite Mine and Ocotillo Wells) with @Markuson and an 80 series in tow. Some "Bubba" pics.
