Removed the little front flaps from underneath the engine (not sure what their purpose was), and installed @reevesci recovery points. LOVE them and dang they are stout. I almost pooped in my diaper removing the factory recovery point bolts :poop::rofl: Of course, no job starts without a cold beer in tow.

Looks great. Did you paint the rear chrome as well?

Thanks! I assume you are referring to my black painted grille? If so, the grille is an aftermarket grille available on Ebay/Amazon for around $85 or so. I did not paint the rear chrome yet, but it's in the plans to get painted flat black when I get the fenders touched up from where I removed the port installed fender flares that left scratches :bang: I love Long Island btw...the Hampton's are on my bucket list after I win the powerball :)

The truck looks great. Yeah I was wondering about the rear chrome. I posted new post as well because I was thinking of anthracite gray for the grille and rear chrome.

The hamptons is very nice, but way to crowded and snobby for my taste. I'd rather bypass all that and head to montauk point. I lived in dutchess county for a short time (1999-2001) before moving back to the island, I loved it upstate as well.

Damn that's nice, ok im gunna ask....is that all painted flat black? (Front grille and rear)
Look at previous page....grill and emblems are sprayed and painted with bed liner....$50 for all....turned out great!!

"Attempted"?

Yes, attempted ... our trail leader instituted a 3 strike and you're out rule for 200s ... -he still owes me beers! Oh well, it just means I must sign up for next year -and run that trail again ....

Haha, I did the same thing when I first got my truck

I had aired down in Moab and figured that was a great opportunity to figure out which was the spare. As a side note, I was very impressed the TPMS monitor was accurate compared with the hand held gauge I use!

Here she is. Still fresh from the dealer. How am I doing? I'm giving myself fits trying to figure out what wheels and tires I want.

Me too, made worse by I hate to give up new (or almost new) tires and wheels - that or I have to give up something else - out of storage space.

I simply don't like the 2017 OEM wheels. And the Dunlop tires are pretty much the exact opposite of awe inspiring.

BTW, really like the Mag Gray color

I love the Mag Gray. So happy I waited and got the color I really wanted.

My head and heart are having an epic deathmatch about wheels and tires. My heart wants RW's with 285/70R17 KO2's, but that is some serious expense. My head knows that, at most, I drive rough forest roads once a month and only need 285/65R18 Michelin Defender LTX's on the stock wheels. I could compromise with 275/70R18's. Or...my most off-the-wall idea is to order steel rims from Australia and put KO2's on those.

BTW, my parents met in Indialantic. When I tell people that they always ask, "Your parents met in the Atlantic?"
