Why did Lexus call it a 450? Wasn't the Lexus 80 series called a 450?

Lexus names their vehicles based on engine displacement. It's a 4.5L diesel.

Nice truck! I just acquired a silver LX as well. Is there anything special about the front license plate bracket? Being in VA, I have to add a plate up front and I'm trying to avoid drilling unnecessary holes in the bumper. If the OEM bracket is just screwed in, then I'll save myself $40 and just pick up one of the generic $4 ones off of Amazon.

The OEM bracket is supposed to be screwed into the bumper cover creating 2 holes. Couldnt bring myself to do that so I attached the bracket to the lower grille instead.

Got the Ironman FCP, SPC UCA's, and Toyota spacers installed. Also sitting on 305/65/18 Falken AT3W and Ultra Gauntlet 18x9 +25mm offset.

Went up to Mt Vernon with the kids. This was a cake for the LC. didn't have to use diff lock or 4LO. Just 4Hi and Traction.

I got my LX used and live in a province that doesn't require front plates. If you haven't already looked, I found my front plate bracket was tucked in one of the storage areas hidden in the tailgate where the factory tool case is located.
