Anyone know if the Sequoia 2UZ is effectively the same as the Tundra 2UZ for the purposes of this swap?

...or the similarity of the two above vs the LC 100 series 2UZ?

A/C brackets are different on the LCs, the Wiring and immobilizer is different and more complicated on the LCs. Emissions and Evap parts are different on the LCs.

As far as i know the Tundras and Sequoias are the same as each other.

The 2uz in the 4-runner and GX470 should also be the same as each other, accessory wise.

The wiring harnesses were different in all of them from truck to truck and year to year so make sure you know what you have.

I'm trying to come up with a "best choice" list as I troll for a source vehicle... "Best" in this case is really the one that would be the easiest to use for the swap. I'd also like to know if I should avoid any particular model/year combo.

Vvti makes things difficult. The LCs immobilizers make things harder.

I chose a 2000 tundra. No key immobilizers, non vvti, uses a throttle cable do you don't have to mount a pedal sensor, non abs truck so no extra wiring.

What year range (and make/models) would offer those same advantages? I know this is for the VVTI... but it doesn't mention the ABS or anything else.

All of these? (Source: Wikipedia)
