What muffler did you use lynchmob? I am building the exact exhaust right now and am having a hard time finding a small muffler.

I have used this one a few times now and I like it a lot.

You would think all glass pack type mufflers are the same but not really. I have used cheaper ones and the sound is much different. This one cuts the harsh noise but you can still hear some turbo whistle.

Awesome work Chris!

What radiator is that? Looks custom

Thanks Dan, Its an aluminum radiator from Champion radiator. About $240 shipped on ebay. Nice looking radiator. Center section was cold to the touch when the engine was running and the tanks were too hot to touch. Fan shroud helps too.

Some fan shroud hacking. Turns out the stock 60 shroud fan location is vertically correct if you flip the shroud upside down. Then you need to cut off the left and right side and patch it together to fit the radiator.
Pics in order. The unmodified shroud flipped over and centered where it should be, the long side of another shroud cut off and placed where it will mate with the main section, the completed shroud with both sides patched in. After it was patched together I added more metal in the "hoop" around the fan to get the majority of the fan blade depth to be covered about 50% by the shroud. Works well but to be honest its not the prettiest piece. The only finished and installed view is in the video.

If I were to do a 1HD swap in my 60, with H 55, running 35 inch tires, what is the best differential ratio for that set up?

Hard to say without knowing what you want to do with it. 4.10 would work well on the road but you may want more gearing for significant offroading

i have a 1hdt with h55 and run 4:11 with 33 inch tires. it’s a daily driver with lots of highway miles. if i was to do it again i would consider 3:73 to get it to rev a little lower at highway speeds and it’s make 4th a little happier for towing as it feels like it revs high when towing. that being said some other guys have said it’ll run at 3000rpm all day happily which is higher than i run at 100km/hr in 4th. i just bet i’d get a little better fuel economy. so 4:11 with 35 would probably be my sweet spot. i don’t do any low gear wheeling though. if you do you’d probably want to gear up to 4:56 then. i had those for a bit with my old gasser and they were good with the auto tranny but not so good with the 1hdt and h55 with 33. great low range but not good for hwy driving.

oh and i have tons of power so could easily turn 35s with 4:11. its my rpm range i’d tinker with a bit at hwy speed
