I guess this is what I get for answering a question on why someone would remove and reinstall one here. My intent was not to debate a factory unit and the ability to smog one.
Almost all of us know how rare they are now and what it would take to do a CA legal install.

Dan - Are you running an intercooler with your setup? Curious about any mpg changes?

@White Sheep - What have you been seeing with the intercooler?

I've been seeing pretty similar to you. Rebuilt engine, SC w/ 2.8 pulley, intercooler, 5.29 gears, and 37s. 13mpg - high 14mpg (freeway).

I no longer daily drive, and when I take it to work it's freeway/open roads.
