1997 FZJ80 "Collector's Edition" - What's it worth ?

Fair price is $1,000, but I will give you $2,000 because I am an nice guy. :D :D

Seriously, it is worth far less than the time and money you have put into it. It is a very nice truck that will command a good premium over other stock ones if you can find the correct buyer. You need to decide how patient you are waiting for the right buyer because for most people all that work and mods are worth next to nothing.

$2001 and you need to dtermine a price before you post in the vehicles for sale section, it's the rules.

I'd say $14K

Thats a sweet rig, why don't you part out the goodies and sell the rig by itself. I would buy the Warn M12 for example.

You will find it hard to get a real price on this board. If you own it - it's worth megabucks. If you don't it's only worth $10K on this board.

You won't get anything for the labor you put into the truck from this crowd and 50% or less for the cost of the equipment.

Put it in your local paper and / or Traders Post and see if you can get $17K.

You also fail to mention a Carfax report, accidents, where the truck has lived and the number of previous owners. These factors will have a great impact on what you get despite alll the neat modifications.

kinda sad/weird, isn't it, that we're all talking about all these nifty mods, but when one comes up for sale with all the goodies, nobody wants to pony up...

these things are really bottomless pits. Not a good investment at all...

I wish it was for sale when I bought mine. I would have payed $15k for it in a heartbeat. Seriously. If I knew then what I have learned since on this site I would probably pay a little more. For me and hopefully the right buyer for you the peace of mind that such a well maintained rig provides would be worth the extra $.

Good Luck

Thanks, Jon. Life got in the way of my search and I dropped off the face of the earth for a while, but I am still looking for a vehicle.

PM me, Beast.

The two-tone seats probably hurt the selling price a bit - uuuuugggggly.

And I wish we had yours! Sounds like a shipping container to Scandinavia might be worth investigating...

All the ones I've ever seen pictures of do...the 40th Anniversary Collector's Edition ones anyway. Maybe there's another collector's edition out there?

there's the 40th (which was two tone interior and sage or emerald exterior) and the Collectors Edition which i believe was available in all the factory colors.

Yeah, the "40th Anniversary Limited Edition" and the "Collector's Edition" are two different packages. As stated above, the 40th came in Dark Green or Sage and had two-tone leather, the CE's came in most factory colors with one-colored leather.

And, it's obviousely a matter of opinion, 'cause my wife likes the two-tone...and she may have posed for your avatar.
