i have been a long time lurker and this forum is the reason why i have a FZJ 80 and, I hate to put this up for sale but I have been out of a job for a few months and unless I get one right away this will be my means of paying rent. Hopefully I will get a job and can delete this post.

Asking $12,000 but go ahead and entertain me with some offers!

Toyota Security with one after market remote
New Clear front turn signal and marker lights
New tail lights that are clear and red
heavy duty steering

The engine runs great and shows no sign of any major problems, the transmission shifts great and holds good when you down shift it.
I had to reseal the front third member and when I did that I cleaned and greased the birfs they are in great shape.
The interior is in great shape and clean, the seats are showing there age but are still in great shape for being 13 years old.
The paint is in good shape as well it shined up really nicely after I had buffed it.
You can buy another keyless remote off of eBay for around $25 they are easy to program.
The previous owner had removed the fender flares and put some DIY truck bed lining around the fender opening and it is holding up well and looks great.

The things that could be fixed are:
Needs antenna mast, but the am fm stations still come in good.
Some lights are out on the HVAC Control.
Leather seats showing there age but there are no rips or tears in the front seats there a few blemishes in the cargo area though (nothing major)
Steering wheel has some wear on it as well but not to bad.
Previous owner had removed the roof rack and there is bondo covering the hoes that are not painted,
The previous owner did not install the extended brake lines when the kit was installed they just relocated the brake lines lower. I do have the brake lines though.
On the back passenger quarter panel there are some deep scratches from being up against a rock, I had painted over them with touch up paint to keep from rusting and the front passenger fender is dented.
There is a hole in the inside of the tailgate where the previous owner’s friend accidentally shot it and there is a dent protruding on the outside but it still looks ok.
The windshield has a couple of rock chips on the passenger side but no cracks.
The sunvisors wont stay up, but I just use a bungee cord and its not to big of a deal.

I am just trying to be as straight forward as I can with this so there are no disappointments, this is a great rig still has a lot of life left in it and even though there a few cosmetic issues this thing still looks great. It drives like a dream for having a 6 inch lift on it. I would not hesitate to drive it across the country.

I am looking to replace this with a 4 runner, Cherokee, I guess some type of 4x4 suv or possible a wagon. So let me know if you have something you want to trade and we may be able to work something out.

You can reach me at 801-953-4252 or 801-930-5461 my name is Brian.

i think you should just live out of the cruiser ;) good luck with the sale

haha it has crossed my mind to just live out of it. you know this thing does pretty good with the stock gears although i have never taken it over what the speedo would call 75, although the speedo is off by 10%.
