First of all i'm not sure if this is out of line/out of bounds as far as the rules go for classifieds so moderators please don't ban me for this - just email or pm me and i will take it down immediately.
(It is not ready for sale yet but will be by 2/30/2014)
Recently bought this truck(impulse buy) with grand intentions because i love offroading, and I love toyotas. However after taking a personal inventory I realize that this thing is not getting me any closer to my future and my money would be better invested elsewhere(i.e. college) so, heartbroken as i am, i must sell my new baby.
bought it off a guy who probably didn't know what he had and he was unemployed and strapped for cash. it is not factory new but it is in great shape! here are the issues you should know about:
-Lockers actuate within seconds, but rear locker indicator light doesn't stop blinking(I know there is a simple fix for this and i plan on doing it soon, if you have a link to this fix please post it)
-driver and passenger side windows are slow to roll up especially in the cold
-even though alternator and battery are good, doesn't always start when i turn the key, i'm pretty sure its either the starter relay or the starter solenoid, because i just turn the key back off and try a few more times and she fires right up.
-He smooched somebody's ball hitch with the original bumper, that's why it is gone in the pictures, i'm gonna fab something simple out of square tube steel so i can pass safety inspection.
-rear bumper side piece is a little bent, and the rear "land cruiser" badge is half broken off, but i planned on stripping that crap off anyway.
-no third row seats.
The positives are: engine fires up without a problem(other than when that thing above happens), warms up and then settles down to the 700 rpm idle range, no heater/coolant problems at all, differentials all work(just that indicator light issue),only 197,xxx miles on her.
it's a great starting point for anybody who wants the ideal cruiser, but like i said I just don't have the time/money to do this project right now, got other things to focus on. as i said above it will be ready for sale by 2/30/2014. If you have questions please pm me
(btw i know you will want more pics i just need to take her to the car wash, I went out in the mud trying to get it stuck so i could use the lockers, but the damn thing never got stuck! I never even put it in 4l! need bigger mud bogs i guess)
