Sweet Cruiser. Looks clean! Love the color. But did you mean “Nightshadow Pearl” (8K0)?

To my knowledge, Toyota did not make a “Midnight Shadow” FZJ80.

You flip a lot of trucks
Hi Hawker,
No I keep the 4 tires planted well on the ground! I haven't flipped one yet.
JK.
Well, my passion is Land Cruisers. I have had them all my life and they bring me alot of happiness and calm.
If this doesn't illustrate my love for Cruisers:
-I have a YouTube channel dedicated to LCs (21k subs)
-I have a Land Cruiser Podcast
-An IG account for Land Cruisers (105k subs)
-I go to countless Toyota events... and so on.

I don't have nearly the 3000 comments you have on iH8mud however! But maybe I will catch up one day.
My sweet spot is the 80 series. I own 2 (OTIS and Black Mamba) a 95' FZJ and 96' HDJ.
You can see them on my YT and IG.
I also have a 40, 73, 100, 200, 570, oh yeah, and a HJ61.

Do I need a 3rd 80? No
Do I love them so much that I love to detail, clean up and enjoy that process? Absolutely.
Each year, I will source and find a super clean, rust free (Usually California only) well maintained 80.
For every 10 I think is worthwhile seeing, I choose 1 that is tops and meets my criteria.
Typically a 8/10, then I make it a 9/10 or 10/10.
Some FZJ80's I know are better than my OTIS. However, OTIS I have so much time and history with, I can't part with.
I also like to take my time, enjoy the Cruiser and drive it the most in my rotation for as long as I can until someone wants it.

So I am more a curator of Cruisers, seeking out only the best.

That roof rack is 3k?
The Roof Rack is $1595 and is the by far best rack available for a 80 series.
I wrote: (reduce 3k if you don't want the roof rack and gear on it).
So the Rack is half of that 3k reduction.
Let's take a look at the gear:

Zarges cases K470 at $388 each = $776
Zarges case mounts: $165
23Zero case = $419
ActionTrax Recovery Boards: $425

The gear adds up to $1785 and is all new.
That Totals up to $1785 + 1595 = $3380 plus taxes in your state if you were to go buy it all.

That's why I will credit $3k off the 80 series sale, if someone is not taking the Roof Rack and Gear on it.
And if someone wants the gear, its all new and a nice ~20% off the retail cost.

My fault for not even thinking about the gear on top ! 😂😟

I have someone in my neighborhood with this color 80, had not seen that blue before. I've thought of asking if they want to sell it, but every time my wife and I are on a walk, there seems to be a new dent or somethings broken off and the paint is getting shot. It's hard to see these not taken care of with some amount of respect for what an 80 is, much less your daily driver LC.

Good luck with the sale!

What is the realistic price for this rig? I’m interested and are local to you but I see them around 19k range in this condition.

Send the links to these comparable LCs at 19k please.
I will have Big Blue at Cars & Coffee in San Clemente if you'd like to see it in person tomorrow AM and see the difference between a 15-20k 80 series and a 25-35k 80 series. I see you just joined and that was your 2nd comment, so I assume you are new to 80 series.
Out of the ones I deem worthy to see, I end up only buying 1 out of 10 That I test drive.. I have owned many 80 and 100 series and know them well.

96 180k miles triple locked absolutely clean inside and out sold for 24k

Similar miles as yours but a cleaner interior 97 for 20k

one.m for sale in this forum in sandiego 30k less miles 13 years owned 3x locked for 22k before negotiation.
These 80 series trucks are in Pennsylvania. Just 3-4 winters will start the rust process, they've been there for over 25 years..

Have you ever owned or driven a 80?

You can come see mine at C&C San Clemente tomorrow. Take it for a spin.

Or you can come see it any other time. See what a properly maintained LC drives like, a clean engine bay, interior and rust free chassis.
