Intermittent rough idle/near stall. Code 31. Running a used junkyard acquired AFM as I jacked my original pulling the screws/cleaning. Any sources here? Is the Cardone one sold any good? Thanks Gents!

I’m currently in the same situation but I didn’t remove the screws. Mine just isn’t passing the test in the FSM. Same rough idle/near stall.

Have you even been able to find the Cardone one in stock anywhere? I was willing to try it since new is long gone and good used ones are rare as hens teeth.

I was able to make one good unit out of three bad units. Lot of trial and error to get one working. Connection get loose and also over time there is wear and tear on circuit board due to moving parts. I also drilled the cap off to gain access to the idle adjustment screw. Finding a good rebuilder is tough. Knock on wood mine still works and it’s PITA to fix.

You can check with @arcteryx or @slow95z to see if either have a used one.

There has been some success with pulling a unit from a Camry. I'm not sure which year or engine, but please search this forum section for Camry and you should get it (along with window switches and seat belts)

If it's rough at idle it might be the long lever that is attached to the clock type mechanism. I took the plastic cover off and resoldered what I pulled apart.and also bent the long slender metal arm so that it makes good contact. I'm showing a CEL 24 code which is the air temp sensor. Other than the light, the cruiser runs and drives better than before and idles perfect. Here's an internal pic of mine so you can see how it looks.

I don't have any right now. Those things are selling quick. Couple of guys on the Facebook group looking for them also.

I have 1 left

The Camry AFM interchanges with the 3fe according to that thread. Haven’t found anyone claiming to have tried it on a 1fz

Can anyone take a pic of their plug(attached to harness) that goes into the AFM. I noticed that mine didn't have the third prong present and was wondering if that was normal.
