1994 ac compressor torque specs help

New here. Been doing a bunch of maintenance on my 80 and finally got around to the ac. Replaced my compressor, pulley and filter drier. Got everything snugged up but I was hoping to find torque specs before I try and pull vacuum and recharge it. I don’t wanna fork the 150 over for a service manual yet. Anyone know?

Idler pulley is 29 ft lbf, the bolt for the magnetic clutch is 9 ft lbf., the 4 bolts that mount the compressor are 18 ft lbf. Discharge and suction hoses are 7 ft lbf. These are for a 96/97 but guessing they would be similar. I could be wrong -never owned a 94.

Did you try the link to the 93-94 manual posted under the resources section by @SmokingRocks? It looks like a great resource above and beyond the FSM. I did notice that the last update states the AC section needs to be updated to be for the 93/94 since it currently is for a 97. Maybe it has been updtated?

Hasn’t…. They are close enough to work but still different since the 93-94 was r12 but I’ve never heard issues with people just dumping r134a in place of the r12. As long as there is compressor lubricant in the system (which is needed in both systems)

I did find the 93-94 ac section once upon a time, I saved it someplace I thought was brilliant and have t been able to find it or the source since….

Tbh you can just give it a good “uhhhg” on a 3/8 drive manual ratchet and you’ll be fine.

Just make sure you’ve got. Good new o ring in place with a bit of ac compressor lube smeared around it.

I’d bet $100 it’ll seal fine. Just keep power tools away from it.

My truck is r134a, must be the first year with it. I had some fresh o rings and blue nylog
