So not quite so big a jump from 2nd to 3rd, low range will make stock gears seem like the next step lower, and the overdrive is better for a diesel application. Pretty ideal for a diesel 80.
Howdy! I have been interested in the 6.5 for a long time. Yes, the very first year, 94?, had non-computerized setups. I almost bought one with an NV 4500and brand new clutch. I wanted to drop it into my Piggy. JohnI would love to do this with my '91. What type of manual transmission would be best and was it ever verified if the early 6.5 was made without all of the electronics?
