yes on the displacement, but you should try finding a '93 IP because it's got more kick and is designed for the turbo. It's the most sought after pump, Stanadyne DB2831-4911 10183901 1992-93 HD C/K & P - Turbo (200 hp)

It will cost about 700$ though, but it's well worth it to have a brand new (or rebuilt) pump

You can reuse all the older 6.2 stuff which would save lots of cash.

True but the 6.2 pump won't pump as much fuel as the 4911 6.5 pump so you will sacrifice some power by doing that.

I am not to familiar with the 6.5 diesels. Is there a decent aftermarket for them. like programmers, new turbos (in one of the threads, someone mentioned banks turbo). think it would be nice to see in the neighborhood of 300 hp.

Not really. I had that engine in my last motor home. I made countless phone calls and found very few options. It's still bad ass in that cruiser though!

Hey, thanks guys. Im also methane inj. the 99'6.5 with the banks. Still deciding on whitch pump.
I have the .2 pump in hand but I know to do it right i probably should bite the bullet. Another cool
upgradew an the way is the fj60/np203 doubler. less expensive than any other adapter and i can use
the 700r4 to np203/fj6t0 and get great low. Your thoughts?

humm.... so that's what an 80 that accelerates looks like.....

Looks like nobody has asked and it is inevitable that someone will so

What is the fuel economy like?

I think the last one of these I saw done got 17 on the highway.

any worries about using the toyota radiator? What did you do for the motor fan? stock mech 6.5 or toyota fan or electric?

I have no idea what the mileage is, but will check with my client in a few weeks. There are some good options for power in a 6.5 like a new chip, different turbo, modified wastegate, etc etc. The 94-95 are obd1 and are pretty good out of the box. I can't wait to make another one and chip it for some more juice.

Great build - quality.

Couldn't see from the pics but what is the fix for the removal of the PS shock mount?

good to hear you used the stock radiator. More money saved. From what i have read the '99
has great cooling. Im also hearing electric fans work well, im sure that takes some sizing and money.
My 80 has a "blue fan" or fan clutch or something. I dont know what that means but must be a good thing. Im thinking that i can also use my stock radiator from what im hearing. I now have 99% of my parts for the conversion, Ill be picking brains. Hope you dont mind.
