I am selling my 1990 Right Hand Drive, Turbo Diesel Toyota Landcruiser HDJ81. This Landcruiser has a California title and does not have to pass any smog requirements in the state. It was imported from Japan to Michigan by Steve at Landcruisers Direct and then I transferred it from Michigan to California. I have owned it for a number of years and have been slowly modifying it over time. It is 34 years old but nobody believes me when I tell them that as the paint and interior are overall in great shape. I have kept it parked out of the sun the entire time I have had it and although I have taken a dozen or so great camping trips it has never been taken rock crawling or extreme off roading. With all the upgrades it has so much torque it is a blast to drive and completely different than a gas 80 series land cruiser. I honestly would love to keep it but I just have too many vehicles right now, including another Toyota Landcruiser 80 series. I am open to trading this for a Lexus GX series SUV or other 4x4 Toyota/Lexus SUV plus cash plus cash or Mercedes GLK Diesel SUV plus cash. At this point I am unsure what to sell it for but I do need to sell it.
For those who don’t know this truck comes stock with an ice maker and refrigerator in the center console, it also has locking front and rear differentials from the factory. Here are the upgrades/pro-active repairs that come to mind and some pictures I took after giving it a basic wash. The prices listed for the most part are just the price of the parts not the labor. In the next week or so I am hoping to get it detailed so you can see how truly incredible the condition of this truck is. I am truly unsure what to sell this for. The truck cost $18k plus shipping the upgraded and spare parts cost over $45k the labor on this truck and I would guess and god only knows how much labor. I would hope I could get 50k but I know I need to get her detailed/photographed and all the spare parts listed for people to take that kind of a price seriously. If anyone doesn’t think it’s worth that much please kindly let me know what you think it is worth or what a cruiser would need to have to be worth that much.
