-New exhaust manifold, glow plugs, intake manifold seals.

-single arb compressor under the hood, hooked up to a blue sea fuse box

-KC hilites flex era 3 ditch lights on yotateq mounts.

-JRP 14-1 to monitor most of the engine and temps

-more I’m likely forgetting about

Outside is sunfaded/clear on the hood and flares is peeling, but it drives super well and is very strong. It would be a great candidate for a serious camp/trail/distance rig, or mall crawler if you give it a it a nice paint job or wrap. Interior is pretty nice/works, cooler/icebox works great as well, and all is as it should be except left side door locks which are intermittent(probably just need new motors).

Could use some new front panhard bushings, and a coat of paint underneath, but no rust on the frame at all. Little smokey on cold mornings and the pump has a slight drip(could use a service), but doesn’t affect how she drives. Will NOT come with arb box’s, but I can throw them in along with a bunch of parts from Toyota I haven’t gotten to for a bit extra.

Yes, it is CA plated, titled, and pre-smog so you’ll never have to worry about smogging it again. Any questions you have just ask, I’m regretting letting it go already. No trades, as I have to help pay for a new roof for my grandma here in town

$27k obo and located in Grass Valley, CA

Sorry you have to sell. I like the “MPH” numbers on the speedo, great idea and much better than post it notes.
Me too, not sure how many opportunities I’ll get again at a CA titled diesel 80. I’m hoping it goes to a good home.

I’m sure there’s a bunch of good sticker options out there so you can do the same

sadly little outside my budget, but I'm super curious how it was able to be registered in CA
Price is obo!

I got very lucky and sought out a titled and registered one from the get go rather than running the risk of trying to get one through(especially these days). I only finally found one after the previous owner reached out in interest over a 83 Toyota pickup I had and we worked a deal out

hopefully it doesn’t leave CA but when ownership transfers does the new owner have to jump through all of the hoops again?

Who knows, but I wouldn't risk it tbh. CA is so freaking finicky about stuff I'd bet money it would never be allowed to be registered here again.

I just went and did a title transfer/registered through my local AAA when I got it home and they didn’t blink twice. It’s a title transfer, when you transfer ownership not an inspection. They just punch in the numbers and new name and that’s that. I was definitely nervous, but it was no issue at all

Maybe trying to register/title an older diesel (especially imported) isn’t all that common anymore. The CARB process would be nerve wracking and $$$$.

Which is exactly why I waited to find one that was already in the system, even if it meant waiting a while for one to pop up. Having to go through the whole process would have been horrible

Yep, hopefully you sell to a CA resident the would be happy to have a diesel 80 series. If it leaves CA and gets registered and tilted in another state…..the truck probably won’t see CA plates again.

Yup. CA doesn't allow diesel imports. Imports at all are difficult.

Bumping this to hopefully get it off to a good home.

ARB storage boxes have been sold separately, so I’m dropping the price down to $26k
