Howdy folks! Selling my trusty Surf. It's had all the work done that needs to be done on these engines to make them decently reliable. All major work was performed by ATEB (RHD diesel specialists).
The list includes:
50000kms ago:
New head
2.5" exhaust
K&N intake
Timing Belt
25000kms ago:
Rebuilt fuel pump
Clutch and heavy duty flywheel
Glow Plugs
2" body lift
33" BFGoodies
Less than 25000kms ago:
EGR delete
Steering dampener
Other goodies:
Frame is in wonderful shape
Turbo timer
Pyrometer, oil pressure, water temp, and boost guages
Coolant heater
2" trailer hitch with wiring
Yakima roof rack with frontloader bike rack
JVC head unit
New bull bar
All the usual maintenance at 5000km intervals. Just installed a fresh fuel filter, cleaned the air filter and did a Seafoam treatment.
A few negatives:
There is some body rust forming on the rear doors. There is one rotten spot under the passenger side rear door that I have cleaned up and painted over with black Tremclad (temporary fix)
Passenger side front quarter panel has a dent.
During cold starts the idle is rough and she blows (grey) for ~30 seconds depending on how cold it is out. She smooths out and runs great after said tantrum is over. No tantrum if it's been plugged in for a couple of hours.
Rear defrost currently not working.
I have removed the fog lights from the truck, one of the bulbs burnt out and could not be replaced without buying a new wiring harness.
I bought this thing close to two years ago for $9000, would love to try and get close to that but I am currently tight on space and need it gone!
