I believe someone here has made copies of badges before, I’m searching for who made them

I had a deal on one but waiting for the seller to find it lol. If it does happen I am going to copy it. Actually I might just get a sticker from ebay and copy the script from that. It would be really easy to cut them from aluminum or stainless from there. I know a guy who can powder coat them red ;)

Come on Pat...quit teasing us. I’ll pre buy plus some to get it going :).

I'll find a pic but it is pretty simple but is lower case which makes it look different than most (and red)

I believe this is the correct one. The script is right either way, but there are slightly different backers

@dogfishlake put me down for one if you decide to start making these!

This is the one that is on my Ute.

Ok. I may have one but will not know for sure until I get my shipment of used parts from Japan.

I think I made a big mistake and bought a used HJ61 grill with this badge on it. 😡 Totally useless to me but that is what I get for shopping Japanese websites.

If I list it for sale on here, it will be for the entire grill assy.

Hey Jimmy @CenTXFJ60
Can you shoot me a pm with dimensions on that badge? First approach is going to be to laser cut the background, then cut the "turbo". That will allow me to powder coat the letters red and the background black. After that the two will laminate together. Pretty easy really. Still thinking on the fastening method.

They would certainly work in 3d print very nicely. Just not something I can do....yet

For posterity, this one was removed from the front grill on a 1988 European market BJ71:

Width is 132mm, height is 28mm. That's measuring max dimension of the black "outline" area.

Note that the badge on the rear door is the same graphic, but with different attaching hardware.

If anyone thinks they can repro this, I'm on board.

Matt, I’ll pay you for the grill and badge if it’s off a 61. I’m already compiling a “will call” with the 40 rims. Can’t hurt to add to the list :).
