Every time I'm at Autozone some 50-60 year old guy will come up to me and say "Cool truck, I had one too!" and then shows me a photo of a mid 90s Trooper. Every time.

So true…randoms: “ I had the same thing, it was called a Raider though…”

I found the O ring and looks like available in US dealers for a $4-$5.

Dodge Raider ... there's one here in my neighborhood in Denver. Wasn't that a rebadged Jimny or Pajero or something? Sorry for the off topic. I'm a lurker on this thread because ... well, it's a cool 70 Series. But every now and again something funny catches my eye.

Mitsubishi Pajero. Usually same Mitsubishi 4cyl of the era but there were some 6cyl I believe.

Lurk and chat away, cool rigs, guitars, new products I don’t mind. My tech content lately is very low 😂 and I’m glad for that!

I have a dodge D50 right now which is just a mistsubishi mighty max I need to decide what to do. Needs a carb, tires and alternator. 4wd nice little truck but not sure dumping $1,200 into it is smart 😆

Those D50s are cool. Tiny!

I'm just here for the sunset photos man. Zero complaints.

I can imagine your wife and kids at the kitchen window:

"What's dad doing out in the field by the truck?"

"Oh honey, he's just taking pictures again. You know dad goes out there every evening."

Kind of a cross between disappointment and completely not understanding the obsession. My wife and kids have the same conversations I'm sure.

They are pretty used to it…as long as I don’t delve into feet photos they are Probabaly ok with my random cruiser photography in the field.

Chugging along. Chasing a mini annoying issue at the moment.

cyclical vibration noise at around 60ish plus mph. This morning it was right at 62/63mph it would start.

Rumble strip, low sound. Brrr brrr Brrr brrr
Not really hard shaking, just small feel in the cabin.

Tires rotated/balanced
New rear ujoint
Tightened front wheel bearings ( little slop will need a new lock washer on one side, works but the tab isn’t great)
Aired up tires to 40psi (helped some and seemed to shifted vibration to over 60)
On off coast doesn’t seem to make much difference, more speed related

So I’m not sure if I chasing mud terrain tire noise or driveline. I suppose it could be an unbalanced driveshaft, or possibly a rear wheel bearing.
I seem to remember it got a little more pronounced when I was on a turn at speed.

Sand driving is something. Found the hard pack and took a few pictures for fun. High 70s the next few days…really wish I could pull that top but it’s going to be a few weeks with everything going on.

I had a speed related noise issue a few years ago that felt totally like wheel or driveline or susp..... It ended ended up being related to a small change I had made to my roof rack....I had a "Thrum" at about 45MPH....but I see you have no rack....I dunno speed related makes me think something flapping or vibing???????, license plate?????, winch hook??

It’s definitely cyclical. Like the rumble strips. I’m not sure if it’s rear diff slop or mud tires and repeatable as those speeds everytime.

Driving me nuts 😂
