The right half of my tachometer and the left half of my speedometer is dark. At night, I have no visual cues that I am accelerating except for the substantial G forces.

What's a tachometer? Those of us with low-line trucks don't have one of those fancy gizmos ...The right half of my tachometer and the left half of my speedometer is dark. At night, I have no visual cues that I am accelerating except for the substantial G forces.

0-3,500 RPM ...... Noisy
3,500-4,100 RPM ..... Very Noisy
4,100 RPM ..... Extremely Noisy than very quiet. (Followed by the sounds of sobbing)

The "boom" is followed by an eerie silence and the tach needle setting at zero. The 2L-TE guys have written volumes about this experience.Ah .... Now I can calibrate my ear.

Ahhh ... I'll try to avoid the "boom". If the 8.3L Cummins in my RV gets to 2,400, there will be a huge boom, then a large amount of crying
