I afraid the vibration associated with the large speakers would shake the Cruiser apart. Why would you bother to go through all that work replacing those bushings. Just get bigger speakers, an amp and crank it up. Problem solved!!
The proportioning value could use some minor tweaking ( need a rainy day / wet pavement ) but overall I am very pleased with the modification. The braking authority is vastly improved from the stock setup.Charles, what's your impression with the FJ master cylinder and the proportioning valve? Do you get enough pedal travel?
Onur sent the parts so I just need some down time. Hopefully next week.better grade of redneck 'round those parts, we used rubber bands and picky quick bags.
looks like the shifter in my '62, I've replaced the plastic bushing with a brass sleeve and it's been good for years, after having replaced with plastic several times.
We once put a rubber chicken under the windshield wiper after landing and called in a bird strike. Needless to say management didn't appreciate my sense of humor. I had some "splaining" to do.I'd just leave it like that...................
I tripple-dog-dare you to do that in your airplane sometime................![]()
Clearly, you are not fully appreciated by the cretins. We once put a rubber chicken under the windshield wiper after landing and called in a bird strike. Needless to say management didn't appreciate my sense of humor. I had some "splaining" to do.
No, I sold it to a local doctor in my home town a while back. It's got the typical rocker issues as well as rust in all four wheel arches. He has decided to have a local shop do a "frame off" restoration. I'm not sure I would spend that kind of money on a SWB but he obviously isn't concerned about that.did you buy your 71 back?
