my very first BJ was that color back in '83
that pic brings back memories ... now i ain't going to get any work done ... memories ... i can see why old people stare off into the distance daydreaming about the past.

I thought they stared off in the distance because they couldn't remember where they left their false teeth and glasses. ( not that I am old enough to know this for a fact )
:D

nah, you are talking to them about something they find completely boring and suddenly their eyes glaze over and they are in another time ...
i can see this happening to me, some punk will be chatting away and suddenly i am back in Alberta trying to climb some nasty hill in my trusty old BJ42 ... "sorry, zoned out there for a sec, what were you saying?"

The trick is to nod your head occasionally so they think you give a cr*p about what they are talking about. Works really well when you are listening to Jeep owners. :)

I was fortunate enough (until 8) to have have many fond memories of my Dad's blue 1983 BJ42 as well.

may have to come out there and address that myself.....That is the least I could do since I accused you of painting it the wrong color......:flipoff2:

Can you drive the Camry please? (or, have Sara drive the Camry)... We can park it in the driveway, drink beer and then I can shoot you down I-75 to Charles's place and he can non-rev you back to ABQ.

Perfect plan!!

I've got beer boss!

Actually that would be I-75 to Cordele and then Highway 300 after that. :)

Awesome work Charles.....

Uh, I mean, awesome work Charles's shop!

[while Charles is off on another revenue flight to CDG)......

The shop deserves all of the credit. I can just barely check the oil. :D

After this funds dispersal I suggest you hone your oil checking abilities......

Gotta protect that investment.....:)

I must admit that I had a helluva time locating the dipstick on the 13BT so I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer either....

That sucker is well hid........ :)

just to those that have not been around the B series engines ...
want some fun? stop at your local full serve (do they even have those in the states anymore?) and ask the jockey to check the oil.

Full service gas station? ..... A term I haven't heard since the 50's. :D

"Full Service Gas Station" don't laugh, we still got one in my little town although he charges .05 a gallon more for the extra service. Well worth it for some folks with the nasty weather this winter! Gomer doesn't work there but the grease monkey sure could pass for his 1st cousin.:D You should have seen the look on his face the first time I pulled up with my 75.

we have full serve in the small town near me.
east indian fella, polite, his prices are less or on par with the "sit in the both and watch tv all day" kids.
first time i pulled up with the 3B 70 i asked him to check the oil. i had been dealing with him for a few months by then ... he dealt with it really well.
he has gotten me back a couple times now.
seems small towns you have the full service.

*The full service I remember:
Pumped your fuel, washed the windshield and back glass if necessary, checked the oil quantity and the tires air pressure.

*The full service of today:
They pump your fuel and charge a small premium to even do that. ( I am aware of one station in town that provides this service )

CMoney , I guess the NSA will have photos of your truck before I do. :D

Got the last Australian tag this morning. ( Thanks, Clint )
Collection complete. :D
