not foolish at all, i understand ... just costly.

I blew through my rebuild budget weeks ago. :D
I actually plan to keep the HJ75 ( you can quit laughing now ) so I don't won't to cut any corners on the rebuild.

You'll have my 77 soon enough;)

Did you get your crank and con rods balanced?

Is the connecting rod the doo-hickey that connects the piston to the crank?
My machine shop guy builds 800-900 horsepower diesel racing engines so hopefully he did all of that fancy stuff. :D
All I know is that the crank is very shiny. : )

*You would think a good friend would email photos of said 77 Series on occasion.

Since you are not using your hood at the moment could I borrow it?

That's beside the point.

You are just skeered (rightfully so) that you would not get it back.:hillbilly:

I normally don't share parts with anyone outside of the Confederacy. ( it's a Southern thing ).

Would it help if I told told you I like Jack Daniels Single Barrel?

Between the Christmas and New Years holidays the "progress" has been relatively slow. The delivery of parts and the machine shop work were both slowed by the holidays. With the exception of the new cam and lifters, all of the parts are now in the shop. The progress was slowed further to install the brush bar and repair the radiator on the BJ74. ( I needed it more than the HJ75 ). :)

Expedited shipping from Canada ( where the bulk of the 2H parts originated ) is a wee bit expensive.

Information for the 3B guys .......
I was told that while a new 2H cam was extremely rare, a new 3B cam was basically nonexistent.

yep, more and more of the 3B stuff is going obsolete ... i do believe i made a warning a few years back about this??

those that are hording the old engines will be making a killing on used parts in the future.

Or adequate demand will awaken the "after market" industry. Only time will tell.
Does the 3B & 13B-T share a common cam?
