i know how to fry chicken the Canadian way, I am sure Berni and i could learn the southern recipe quick enough from a pro like you.


Sorry for the trouble but State law requires that everything is deep fried.
We are subject to random breathalyzer s to make sure are breath smells like peanut oil. :D
 
Don't know if it is good or not but I averaged 22.0 mpg on my first tank of fuel in the ole BJ74. :)
 
I assume the 15" rims were "factory" so there should be no "factoring" for tire size when determining fuel economy.
 
on 15" rims you can have 29" tires or 35" tires
rims are just the metal part
it is the overall rubber diameter that you need to go by...
better yet, get a GPS and you can figure accurately from that day on.

Wayne, Please don't introduce logic and mechanical knowledge to a thread that has none. It just confuses us. ( or at least me ) :D
I am currently running 30x9.50 R15's. ( The rubber part ... Not the metal part ) :)
 
so 30" tires are probably 29" tall in reality
your fuel mileage should pretty damn accurate.
 
From my experience 30"-31" is about as tall as I can install on a 15" rims. It seems U.S. tire manufactures are not producing a lot of tires for 15" rims anymore. There were a lot more choices for my HJ75 once I upgraded to 16" rims.
 
you can get 33X9.5X15 still, perfect tire for 7* with no lift ...

The BJ74 has a 3" lift which makes the tires look small by proportion. Eventually I would like to install the same size tires and rims that I have on my HJ75. On the priority list, the tires are no where near the top. :)
 
Wonder how a set of these would look on the ole HJ75 ...... A real lift kit. :D
