Those brakes might better than the ones Toyota has been using recently.

Speaking of main gear, I watched a DAL mechanic do a front main tire swap in ABQ once on a 757 and interestingly it utilizes the same style structure as the front of our LCs.

2 bearing in a hub sitting on a spindle. 2 locknuts, thrust washer, locking washer-- even the cclips were the same.

Setting preload which was stoopid low--IIRC, 10-12 FT/lbs--was even done in a similar method.

Cool to see.

If i did work on a brake set up like that there would probably be about 50 "spare" parts left at the end.......

Charles is holding off to buy my 77 when she's legal ;). Going to hopefully be finished my build by then hopefully.

nah, he is looking for that rare low km all original 77.
me, i am shopping for a LHD troopy now.

I am sure they are designed to have "extras" anyway. :D

They are designed to stop an airplane weighing in excess of 515,000 pounds from speeds approaching 200 mph. They are a tad warm after doing so which is the main reason the tires has "fuse plugs" that will melt to keep the tires from exploding from heat transferred from the brakes.
This is generally not an issue on my HJ75. :D

They exist ..... This Troopy is LHD and is from south of the border. :)

If you want some Budweiser go to the beer section at the Bon Marche. The bottles are a little smaller but made up for with a higher alcohol content.

The freedom pub on the Champs Elysee is where I go to chat with ex pats.

It seems like blasphemy to drink Budweiser over here. :D

Why yes .......... yes I am. :)
I am counting the days until it is legal to import one while I slowly build up my "slush" fund.

Absolutely nothing to do with 70 Series Tech but cool none the less.
A rare glimpse at a turtle hatching. :)
They are just beginning to emerge from the hole ( if you look closely you can see two heads peeking out )

The turbo-charged models are slowly pulling away. :)

Their destination is only 45 yards away. Hopefully all 12 will make it.
