those firetrucks are about $4K in Japan, i have been looking at each series of firetruck. the 40 and 55 series are the coolest, i think.

I don't really need the fire truck but I would like the "hand cranked" siren. :D
The mustard 40 Series is very low mileage and still has the original "window sticker".

Toyota

Removed the ugly red graphics which was far more difficult than some had suggested. Toyota used adhesive that would have held the Titanic together. The process required a razor blade, a stool and a lot of patience.:)
Decided to change things up a bit with a color change.

And yes I do realize this is not a Cruiser but Toyota was not very selective where they placed their ugly graphics.

looks a lot better. Toyota has some of the worst graphics known to man....or so I think.

The red graphics take on a "pink hue" as they age which gives your Toyota that masculine look. ( not unlike a Barbie Jeep ) :D

mine were removed years ago when someone decided to back into the side of my truck as I honked on my horn trying to get his attention! Dent got fixed and the guy doing the body work couldn't find the same graphics to match the other side, I was quite thrilled when he called me asking permission to remove the other decal.

Any suggestions on a durable product that would be suitable for my running boards?
They are currently painted with the same product used on the truck however they are not holding up well plus I am starting to think high gloss white was a bad color choice.

My 79 series had a rubber plastic style lip along the outside of the step ,stops the foot sliding down it when there wet and stops the paint getting worn off.
I just got my Ute back from the panel shop and it has new side steps which are genuine Toyota but minus the lip after a day of use they were scratched up. I think they have put 75 series step on my Ute.

Is this rubber / plastic lip a Toyota product or aftermarket?

factory, i have it on a couple of my trucks as well.

Thanks Wayne, I will check with my local dealership later this morning. Normally when I mention "70 Series" to those guys they get that "deer in the headlight" look but hopefully they will have something as simple as this plastic lip. :)

You need some holes to install the plastic lips.
Your running board doesn't show any??:hhmm::hhmm:
Why not get the alloy running board? No paint needed.

My desire is to keep the HJ75 as original as possible. :)

the running boards are either black or chrome.
you can get new running boards with the strip from ENS and are new take offs ...

The solution may be as simple as painting the running boards with the same "textured" material I used in the rear bed.
