Is this issue occur right after you have separated the cable from the box for your new clutch.

In an effort to not conjure up anymore "negative energy" I will give you a short answer.....NO.:)

By nature I am basically a "cheap" individual so the cable will have to totally fail before I replace it.:)

hummm, cheap person - Rover owner ???? nah, i call misrepresentation here.
<cheap person - jeep owner>

While I did enjoy my Defender I would be the first to admit that in the case of Land Rovers, "high price" doesn't necessarily translate to "high quality." The Land Cruisers are far superior vehicles in my opinion. As far as the Jeep goes....
(long pause)...as least they are "trail rated" ( says so on the side :D)

Has anyone reupholstered their seats and if so can you post some photos of the finished product?
Thanks......

actually, you can get the factory seat material for $150 for each piece or $300 for each seat.
contact Dave at Japan4X4 and he will help you out.
cheers

I can get them here for $250 a seat, but not through the dealer.

As soon as the sun comes up I will roll the truck out of the garage and take a photo of the current seats. The seats are some type of vinyl covering that has become somewhat "brittle" and the material is actually starting to crack in places. Good quality aftermarket is probably the direction I am headed and the finished product needs to have a fairly thin cushion ( don't want to give up what little legroom I have:)).

i will post up some pics of the seats i have had redone.
they look pretty darn nice.
might be a good time to "upgrade" to a mid 80-mid90s Celica seat. low profile base, they fit nicely into a 75/45 cab and are VERY comfortable. i have installed a number over the years with no complaints.
cheers

I would appreciate that:).........I need a thin ( but somewhat firm ) cushion to support my big butt.

There are 3 digital cameras in this house somewhere.....can't locate a single one.
As soon as the mystery is solved I will post an interior photo.

seats

You guys are looking for materials to recover and I haven't even found my seats yet! I've got the perfect material and no seats to put it on. The seats in my cruiser look like something you would sit in watching Monday Night Football. Only a 90lb midget, pardon me, vertically challenged person, would fit in my truck comfortably.....and I am far from it!:D

Monday night football is very popular even among short people.:D Post a photo of your seat material on this thread.

seats

I'll post a photo when I find those split bench seats and have them covered with my material;)
My dream in life is to have a cruiser half as nice as yours!

"My dream in life is to have a Cruiser half as nice as yours" ....... You just have to be willing to spend an obscene amount of money and have the ability to hide that fact from your spouse. :D
Thanks for the compliment by the way......

Do these seats appear to be original Toyota or aftermarket?
