1981 22R Seattle

I have a 1981 22R short bed 2WD pickup that I purchased with 70K miles on it. Given its age, I think it sat around a lot. It's a solid truck that starts up and runs, but it would be better with some expert help. It needs a carburetor rebuild, and I suspect a lot of other parts are starting to fail. What I'm looking for is a mechanic whose specialty is trucks like this who I could hire to overhaul my truck and its engine. Most shops nowadays are full of mechanics who haven't even seen a carburetor and who certainly don't know how to rebuild one. But if there's someone in the Seattle area who loves these old trucks and enjoys working on them, I'd love to be in touch.

Check with Tor (TorFab). He's busy with a lot of Land Cruiser work, but he might be willing to work on your truck. It doesn't hurt to ask. TorFab

I don't know if somebody like Jim C. or Mark A. would do your carburetor. They do work on AISIN LC carbs, and are the masters.
