Sucking up to the boss Onur?

It's D.O.A. Beno. The Budlong engine is ready to install.

Had a great time at the ride this weekend. I think it will be renamed "the weekend of carnage" since almost everyone broke something.

The mini is going to need some serious repairs before it hits the trail again. We were cruising yesterday afternoon and someone behind me noticed my shock wasn't attached at the top. We couldn't find a washer so I just took it off. Easy fix for that.

Then I went after trail 4 again. Luckily I had already run it on Friday. When I went to the "easy" side I was just bouncing and having to back up over and over. Don't know if it was going forward or backward but I snapped the right birf. It was really only a matter of time anyway. Duals with 37s and stock birfs... well now I have an excuse for longs at least. :hillbilly:

I think the trail gods were just mad cause you finally beat 4 so they decided to take their revenge. My bet is that birfs destiny was sealed when you rolled out of camp :)

Sounds like a good weekend wheeling! I wouldn't call that major surgery, just some fixes.

That birf's fate was sealed when I put in the dual cases and bolted up those 37s. :hillbilly:

Yep. Nothing too major. I have to spend a bunch of $$$ though. I think the trailer fund just became the axle rebuild/longfield fund. Problem with that is, I can fix the truck but I still won't have a way to haul that junk. :bang:

I vote throw a stocker back in there and get a trail spare and get the trailer. Having an awesome rig to crawl around the back lot at work might sound fun to you, but I like the idea of seeing it on the trail.

I agree, toss a birf back in and just don't beat on it so hard next time. "Aim it and hammer down" has its consequences Sam :/ There will ALWAYS be a weak link. The key is to know what it'll be and know how to baby that particular facet. Besides, you need to get experience changing one anyway! :)

On another note, hit me up offline; I have a longshot trailer idea for you to stew over.

Annnndddd.... I know that you have pictures to share because I took them, so you can prove to everyone it does do more than crawl around the back lot at work.

I don't understand this concept of not hammering down you speak of. :steer:

I do have some pics but I haven't had a chance to get them off the camera. Seems to be more videos than pics tho.

Anyway I might just throw a stock one back in and keep some spares. We'll see.

Whoops. I did take several vids, but hopefully I was pushing the right button and got some good ones for you.

So, the trailer situation looks like it may be worked out for now. So, now I just have to figure out if I have the funds/time/desire to do the longs and the axle rebuild now or wait. I really want to do it all at the same time. There is only one wheeling event left this year that I was planning on taking the mini to in November. So in theory, if I don't worry about getting it ready for that ride, I could have about a year to get it back into shape. The flip side to that of course is that if a ride did come up that I wanted to go to I would just have to miss out. Decisions decisions. It's not going anywhere right now and I wasn't planning on taking it next month anyway, so I have some time to think on it... :hhmm:

Birf party at my new place once I get settled in.

Get the parts, let's get it done. Perfect "breaking in" of the new place.

Wish I wasn't like 6 hours away, I would love to offer a hand.
