Parking garage at grocery store!

where are the four Paint Code #532 matching parking spot under-tire vintage shag carpet squares i got the correct binding you asked for stitched on by my canvas shop you had to must-have Dallas ?

@POPO AGIE - Sorry to hear of your trouble with the order. My advice, just keep pestering him. I have known @ToyotaMatt for over 15 years, and have done thousands in business with him. I have received every order and know Matt to be a stand-up guy with nothing but love for Toyota. That being said, can he be scatter-brained and overwhelmed at times? Yes. I know Matt personally to be a guy devoted to the Toyota brand, and while I wish he would have the same care and attention to detail with his customers that he does with this parts, I am never in a hurry to receive anything from him, knowing if I need something within a week, I'll purchase somewhere else. If it is a job I know I'll want to get to in the upcoming month or more? I'll order from him.

Cheers,

Dallas

Ditto - I order knowing it will be a while (never under 6 weeks) = not being frustrated with the process.

Beautiful work as always - The dreams I get to have about my rig from an update on your thread.... and back to reality.

Cheers

Thanks for the heads up. I am not ready for the new lock set but is concerning that I have paid for them with not idea when they ship.

I will continue to wait.

Probably what has spoiled us is Amazon. In the last few years almost everything we have ordered is either 2 day or same day. It has come to the point where I can drive 10 minutes to pick up something so it is a 30 minute event with going in the store and going back home….Amazon will deliver it within several hours. That leaves me that 30 minutes or so to do a few other things and when it arrives from Amazon, I ‘ll use it

The difference is also communication…. Any online ordering is met with emails on when, where, how and who. You can click on a tracking number and know within a few hours, when it will arrive None of them are silent and then most follow up after the sale. This is now the way we do things in our society. The vendors here on MUD have treated me that same way. Naturally I am very thankful

Last thing I'll say on that topic - some things are just worth the wait. For example, an @FJ40Jim carb rebuild, worth it. This gear reduction starter, for example, worth the wait. @ToyotaMatt doesn't just drop ship a starter to you, he inspects it, ensures its not a rebuild, includes all of the components needed for you to install it (pig tail, rubber boot). So I know when I pull it out of the box, its the best starter for my rig. Again, do I believe if he had some of our customer service skills and organization, his business would skyrocket? Yep. But we are not him :-)

All that aside, I'm very much looking forward to a season of fun in this FJ40 and I hope you all are as well. Heck, I might even do some *light* wheeling and camping :-)

Stay tuned for some 1970's Camping pics and maybe a car show or two.

Looking good.
How long did it take to get? I ordered a new set of locks a month ago and have been sending messages on MUD and found an email when he got paid.
Finally heard from him and said he would get back to me after breakfast and nothing.
Paging @ToyotaMatt

My locks will be delivered Thursday as per the tracking information. Once things are processed in CO it is anyone's guess when they will make to the Riverton, WY post office.

A recent update from @greenEFSI had me thinking about my little ones and my cruisers. I have hundreds of photos of my kids and I enjoying cruisers, but for some reason this one hit me the other day.

This is from maybe 2005 or 2006, I'd have to dig around on the date, but I was driving back from the shop with my son on the back roads, and (don't flame me) I allowed him to stand up and hold onto the handle above the glove box. All the feels of me being a kid back on the farm and standing up while my dad drove around the farm...I had to pull over and snap this pic:

I can hardly type this, knowing how hard life was at that time, he was blind to most of it. But I have this photo to remind me of special times like this, he riding next to me in a cruiser. Worth more than I can express.

This is him today, both of us big Formula 1 fans, and he enjoys wathcing Lewis Hamilton race, so I snapped this when he had the opportunity to be next to Lewis's car:

Oh man. My son is pretty close in age to your son in that first pic. Makes me very grateful we can build these memories now... I felt like I blinked and they are closer to 10 than far away, Ill blink again and they'll be in high school
