For Sale:
1973 Toyota Land Cruiser custom designed for King Of Hammers and high speed off road action. Design work and fabrication by Daniel Llewellyn (LeDuc’s last 4 winning trucks) and Sean Roper of Roper Fabrication, whose work is top quality.
Front suspension has 18 inches of travel, Fox 2.5 coilover shocks, and a custom 4 link nickel-plated front suspension setup.
Rear suspension is a 3 link design with 18 inches of travel, using a cantilever shock system. Pivot points for cantilever are on machined-down Land Cruiser spindles and the hubs double as the lock and unlock system for the rear sway bar.
Front axle is a custom front land cruiser axle with upgraded axle shaft and burfields, and disc brakes. 4:11 gears are in the front differential with an air locker. Steering is assisted with a Saginaw power steering setup with custom panhard bar. The truck has practically no bump steer from full compression to full droop.
Rear axle features disc brakes, new 4:11 gears, a fine spline input and an air locker inside the trickest axle housing you will ever see.
Truck is powered by a 5.3 liter Chevy Vortec engine. The engine drives a 4L60 transmission married to a rebuilt factory Land Cruiser transfer case and uses Art Carr shifters for both units. A custom 50 gallon fuel cell is mounted underneath heated Beard seats. The truck is fully caged front to back with 1.5 dom 90 and 120 wall. The entire project is tig welded. The vehicle sits on a 105” wheel base and the body has been stretched 6 inches on each end for perfect fender position. The body work is so clean, one would swear the body came from the factory like this.
All the major fabrication work is completed and the vehicle is ready for finish work that would include wiring, lighting, plumbing, brake lines, drive lines, wheels and tires, radiator, dash and gauges and all the little stuff. Hard top and hard doors are included along with the project that I just don’t have the time to complete. Selling for $15,000 OBO and with $60k+ invested in the project, my loss will certainly be your gain. Serious Buyers only with cash, no Paypal or trades please. Truck is located in Ventura, California.
