Interested…but not in bidding.

If you can pull the side cover and pull out the sector shaft to determine if the roller is still usable, I will pay your asking price. Unfortunately, the last three boxes I inq about all had damaged sector rollers.☹️

Yes Sir. Happy to do that. I can do so in the morning. Can you text your phone number to name and I can call you or send you pictures? 678-602-8247.

Sorry I couldn’t reply yesterday; crazy busy. I have a sample of what I’m NOT looking for on my Wall Of Shame at the shop. Unfortunately, I will not be back there until Monday.

You will need to rotate the sector to its mid-point to remove it from the housing and wipe the grease off the outside faces of the roller bearing. If either of the faces are scored or pitted, it is not safe to reuse.

Also, if the seal surface of the shaft is scored, the box won’t seal. THAT I have a picture of in my phone.

The one on top is heavily scored.

I realize this gear box is for a 1971 FJ-40, but does anyone know if the worm gear can be swapped out for use in a 1966 FJ-40?
