Finish the tank fuel straps!!
I match it on the new tank looks grate!
I will paint the tank on te same satin black color

Well, take the new tank and it came with an OEM Coating applied badly,
had even rusted out gas fiting and also where is the gas packaging send unit,
sand and mask.
supposedly "new?"
when cheking to atach the send unit notice that it has only one way!! smart guys!!hehehe
well preparing for paint , hurry hurry until wife cal!!!

What Powder coat code did you use? Who was the manufacturer? Looks great!
 
While my 68 sill has the original tank I did get a FJ45 tank that had been replaced in the truck at some point. It has those same dipples on the top. I wonder what Toyota's reasoning was for adding the dipples?:meh: Also that molding was something Toyota added after 68. My 68 didn't have it but my 73 does.:hhmm:

and you have rigth
I bougth the new from SOR and I thought it will be exactly the same........... and surprice!!!! it has some diferences:hhmm: well I decide to finish the new investmen(nrw tank) and save the old one to restore in better time !
I think they mix the 70 to use for all early years sence the 70 has some conections and the old one didnt has.

Well
This is the third oil canister I get restore!
first was the early 62, second was an 69, and this is an 68 wich I liked most!!
it has the oem bracket and all things inside, well let see......
