Then it was time to head home. About 10 miles outside of Quartzsite, the fan bracket pulley decided to let go. It threw the belt. I drove the last 100 miles or so with no belt which means no power steering, ac, or charging. Luckily I have 2 batteries. I went for it and made it home doing around 80 mph most the way. The voltage never even dropped below 12.3 volts. Props to Toyota and the water pump being spun by the timing belt....lol

Lucky it didn’t launch the fan through the radiator. That tends to be the typical outcome after the fan bracket pulley pops.

Went up to Mt Union and found there's still plenty of snow. Great day in the mountains with perfect weather.

Went out to the desert to explore the Reymert Mine and the Florence Junction area. I used to wheel there often but it's been several years. Good times and perfect weather as usual.......

We out exploring some mines in the North Bradshaws. First stop was the old train tunnel, then the Poland Tunnel, the Walker charcoal kiln, the Bannie Mining area and finally some other old mines.

No wheeling this weekend. I did build some upgraded rear sway bar links. I made them alittle longer than my previous extended version. Gonna remove the front sway bar and see how it drives.

After the last 2 weeks of wheeling and driving around......the front sway bar stays off. The improvement off road out weighs the minor loss on road.

Anyways, we went out yesterday to explore some mine sites and a dam bridge. Another great day in the desert.
