Went out wheeling and exploring again today. Finally checked out a few mines I have driven by like a million times. Found one that I'll revisit later as it looked promising.
Was just a great day out in the desert.

Had a storm roll through on Friday, so we headed to the mountains. Found a nice blanket of snow, not too deep. The scenery was fantastic. Amazing how much melted by the end of the day. Truck is a muddy mess....lol

You high desert guys have all the luck. All we get is cold. Or wet. And if we're really lucky, wet and cold.

Did a bunch of maintenance and dealt with a few items in preparation for a couple day trip.
Also recovered the console with a new leather piece from Etsy. Not my best work, but much better than before.

Haven't updated this in awhile. Been wheeling just not posting much. Here's some shots for today's little trip to beat the valley heat. Was only 83 at 6000 plus feet verses the 100 plus at my house in the valley.
First stop was what's left of an old railroad tunnel.

Then a quick walk around Horse Thief Basin Lake.

Spotted this giant Alligator Juniper tree. There's only grow at certain elevations. One this size is well over 500 years old.

Wow.....it's been sometime since an update. Just driving it as my daily and wheeling my fake 45 pickup. It's build and adventures are over here:

I did final fix the wobbly steering column. It was really easy and super gratifying with the results. Took maybe 20 minutes. Just need a couple new bushings, screw driver and an Allen wrench.

Got the brakes pulled off the rear and they are smoked. Waiting for parts now. Should have everything wrapped up by Saturday afternoon including installing the ARB diff.
