It's white, I don't think it's to white, to each is own I guess??


Carpet, yes. Color is continetal beige, pretty much the color of the lower half color. Wall to wall....???? I don't get that one

Thanks, as long as that is stock. Looks to be behind the left rear wheel for the exit point. I just want it coming out in the stock location.

Trust me it is stock on stock hangers. I am as anal as you are!

I gave the shop the pics and also told them that they had to use each of the stock mounts as they were located.

Excellent, thanks!! I guess I mainly am concerned about the stock location. Of course with the cheby in there it's not stock, but still want it to look stock

Not sure yet if I'm going to run it on the outside of the frame and then bring it back in around the rear wheel again. Might be inside the frame all the way to the rear and then exit behind the rear wheel. I guess I'll see what the exhaust guy thinks?

Cruiser-white (my opinion) is not so glossy and bright, but a bit creamier, definitely to each his own.

Wall-to-wall, shag was a joke, a period thing for the 60's...

As far as exhaust goes, why bother with stock at this point?

Not much on the lv tonight, pretty much cleaned up the shop a bit and decided to sit on my ass a bit early this evening.

I did happen to whip out a bracket for the AC drier. I bent it up and welded another piece to is and tapped 10-24 bolts into it to hold the bracket. I mounted to 2 existing holes in the fender where there is a stock triangle bracket on the back side for support. I think it will work out well when the hose comes out of the firewall.

Probably only thing I will get done tomorrow night is get the lv loaded up for Wed. mornings trip. Gotta take the wife out for supper tomorrow night.......don't you other guys forget either

I agree as far as cruiser white, this is a little whiter and definetely a LOT glossier. But, that's what the wife wanted and that is really all that matters

As far as the exhaust it won't be stock of course, but I just want it to come out in the stock location. Said from day one, I want the stock look, but want some creature comforts to make it driveable.......just trying to stick with my mission statement here. Easy to forget after doing this now for almost a year now.

Shag....I get it now....but no, no shag wall to wall ;p

now there's an understatement. wanna know how i know? mark drove all the way to my house to look at the exhaust on this exact LV (yes matt, yours) to make sure his would be right!!!!

I would run the exhaust inside the frame and above the skid plate all the way back and exit it in the stock location. It will fit and it looks really clean. It will also save the muffler from all that road debry. This is just my 2cents. Looks super sharp already, show quality easily.

I won't be in town March 7th - 12, heading down to Dallas, TX for an Ace show. Heading down a couple days early, my sister lives down there. Her husband has an 83 FJ60 that I was planning on giving a hand swapping out a 2F. Hopefully that will go well, they moved into a new house a year ago. Not exactly sure of the layout or tool situation?....should be able to wedge something in there.

This is what I'm kinda thinking, but I want the exhaust guy to give me his 2 cents also. I could have it done locally, but the person I want to do it is 60 miles away. Brining it to him because he does such a nice job.

I'm probably not going to exit in front of the rear wheel, mainly for sound. Probably driver side behind the rear wheel right at the left rear corner of the vehicle.

Just got back from the exhaust guy. I had a few more pics, but for some reason they didn't turn out??

Anyway, Turned out really nice I think. Took about 4 hours, but I think we chose the best possible route for using a SBC. Routed out the rear left behind the wheel, I think it looks pretty decent there and should keep the noise down.
