Since the threaded started almost, about another month is needed. I have owned the truck now though for a little over a year. I think I got it last year in Jan. sometime?

Are you putting a bumper on there? Just wondering if the tail pipe will be in the way?

Yes, I am putting a bumper on, and no, don't think the tailpipe will be in the way.

I have a general idea what I am going to do, but haven't looked at it seriously yet, I do have a plan in my head though. The bumper I have in my mind is going to have a subtle pre-runner look to it, but not over the top. Also a must to have a 2" reciever tub built into it, pulling other misc. toys.

I'll let you know when I get there, you will know a day or 2 after I do. ;)

Okay...I was just thinking about the old step bumper that was on mine. It wrapped around the corner and would be right there where your tail pipe exits.

This thread is like my daily fix, I really appreciate you taking the time to post on top of everything you do on the truck, Matt, kudos!

I did notice the rear shackles being on backwards too, is that by design?

Hey Matt

Did you already explain why your shackels are on backwards?

Yep, way back on page 3 or 4 last year.

Went back to work after the exhaust today, but then got another 3 hours in after supper.

Decided to work on my center console. I bought a rear console heater out of an 89 FJ62 about a month or so ago. I actually just wanted the heater portion, as you can see in the pics. I want to incorporate the rear heater into a console unit that houses the radio and the switches that contol the pads that I intalled in the seats.

So, since I can't buy what I want, I make :) Fabbed up an arts and craft project first out of tag board to make sure my idea was going to work, took some time. Then started shearing steel. I didn't finish tonight, but a good start. Hopefully will wrap it up tomorrow.

You know once your done you should take her out on tour. Maybe stop at all the TLCA events this year so we can check her out in person. :D

Great work by the way. This is the one post I look forward to catching up on everyday.

I don't know about all the TLCA events, but maybe 1 or 2. I am a member of the TLCA, but have never participated in anything. I enjoy reading the magazine they send out for the most part, things I like and then things that don't do it for me.....but that's my opinion and opinions are like assholes, everyones got one :D

I am tenetively planning on Cruise Moab 07, need a year of shake down on the rig before I drive 3 to 4k miles across the country with it ;)

Thanks on the compliments, Matt

What size tires do you have on it? BFG 33x9.5 AT? You need to write a book about this rebuild, I think some money could be made.

You have the tire size correct sir.

Funny on the book comment, I have had several people PM and email me about that

I would never have thought of this as book material? I guess I see it as something I personally would love to read if someone else was doing it. I also think there are many different angles it could be written about. Not just like it is written about here on this thread, different ways to go about it........About the person, why this person did it, motivation to keep it going, planning and logistics involved to keep this pace of a build going, dollars involved, thought process's needed or how this person thinks, even possibly written by a third party, etc....... I'm not in the magazine or book industry, but I imagine someone in that business could look at anything from many, many different angles that I can't even imagine!

I don't want you to think I'm trying to blow my own horn here, I'm not. This type of build is the type of reading I enjoy.....hey, I might be the only one, or maybe there's only a select few in 45 section? I've always said also.....There is nothing here special that I am doing, anyone else could do it....it may take a little time, but as far as skill level...achievable by anyones standards, just takes a little practice sometimes. This just isn't the first time I've done something like this, also trying to help others out a bit if I can ;) .
