I think you are tapping into the wrong market HERE. Buckle up!

How in the world is this bid to $11K with 5 days left?

I see auction style listings on eBay have to be relisted all the time for buyers backing out. Several fj40’s are relisted every month that Sold, then no one pays. Seems like a few bidders just bid to have some fun I guess. I had one like that last year who turned into a ghost when I requested deposit and payment. I no longer do auction style for any vehicles. Only best offer so I can talk with them and insure it’s a legit interest. Seems to have fixed the issue.

I know all about the ghost in the room. They are how I found this site. Market manipulation games or just idiots, who knows. Ill keep tracking them every time it happens. I can only imagine 99% of this room is good. its the 1% that makes things difficult. They jack this run up, ill expose the crap out of them on here and every other site they frequent.

I'm Buckled! Roll baby roll!

There are a couple of shill bidders in the mix but I do not know them nor have I asked for their assistance. The shill bidding is coming from an outside source that's part of the game players. You know, the ones who are trying to take business away from eBay and have the ability to control pricing of a car until they are able to steal the crap out of it for them self to sell at double the value. The true bidders are being notified as they bid what is real and what is not. Currently the high bid is 100% legit. 6000 sets of eyeballs on facebook since Saturday and a massive amount of inquiries / conversations with folks has helped out. You guys don't know me and even if you did, you'd never understand the way I operate. You appear to come from the hard core world of the car business and live with that mindset. My 18 months of this test has certainly proven to be the most brutal area of this industry that I have experienced to date. Fortunately, for me, this chapter is closing once this car and about 8 others have left the ring. Stay tuned though, this book will end up on the big screen and every single person in this room will be looking forward to its debut.

Think about this, the greenest guy on the lot that lasts one week before being blown out by the desk. He sucked. He talked to much, could sell ice cream to an Eskimo but was so honest he spent hours advising his customers on where they could get a better deal. He was odd though. If you screwed him over he was going to haunt in your sleep for years to come. He happened to be smart enough to understand risks that the DP did not want to take but it was the same risks that the SM was taking daily in order to produce his massive paycheck. Rather the DP turned the blind eye and prayed it never came back to bite him in the ass or he just truly did not know, this guy was always a threat because in the SM's eyes, he was a f**king idiot. Reality was that he's the guy who really wanted to use the play book and play by the rules. It never worked out for him. Never does.

I'm that guy! The only difference is that I'm not 20 years old, I am just recording an episode that's sure to blow the minds of the good or completely F**k the income stream of the crooked. But the folks in the business who are good are sure to love it. For once they will feel some relief in a competitive industry that's constantly beating their ass because of the cheats who make everyone in the industry look bad.

Buckle up boys! Your at the end of chapter 8 in this book. Save of you should save your pennies though. This ones going viral!!!

:-) ONE DAY IT WILL ALL MAKE SENSE TO YOU

Guys, $14k is a bargain for this truck.....check the recent BAT auction of a similar v8 truck

V8-Powered 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

Insert sarcasm....but seriously the listing here for ebay isn't a bad lookong truck.

Thanks Matt, I appreciate you for pointing this out and giving a positive opinion finally. Interesting thing is that after several attempts on eBay that ended with no pays or low ball offers, I was advised by someone on Facebook to try BAT. I reached out to them but did not see a response until yesterday when I realized it had gone to my junk mail. I was tempted to post up the email they sent back with suggestions of taking some better photos (I'm no professional photographer) and their advised reserve price but I am not sure if they would want this information listed elsewhere or not. I chose to respect the privacy of communication. I don't believe they would mind me saying that they certainly felt it deserved a higher reserve than its currently bid at with no reserve at all.

Fortunately I have been able to locate and communicate with all existing bidders except for 2 which were both prior to the listing hitting over the $10,500 amount. I do not reach out through ebay rather just use some skip tracing tools I used in my previous career to locate folks that would skip out on payments and believe their car would never get repossessed. Maybe I should have been a detective. LOL. I have discussed the fact that bogus bidders are possible but the live bidders have agreed that they are willing to purchase at the number they have placed. Of course the current high bidder revealed that he needs to find financing which is not the most exciting to me. Ive asked him not to bid again until he is approved and really did not and still don't intend on finding a finance buyer unless they have it together long before the closing of the auction.

I will be losing on this no matter the outcome unless it goes crazy in the end but that would require a run up at the end like no run up I've ever seen happen before. I've accepted that a loss is coming, just hoping a few more folks can see the true value and have the ability to spend side money at the moment. If not, at least I know the market drove this and it can be moved on out.

Ironically, my reason for selling is the same as the other vehicles I have at this time. I am closing a business and either changing course or going back into the wonderful world of corporate america. In this process, I have had to locate a vehicle that my wife will own vs driving demo units and of all things, I ended up purchasing a One owner 2012 model with about 80,000 miles today. LOL. I swore I would never look at another FJ again after this but damn, I just couldn't resist myself. Dear God, I hope she likes the way it drives!!!

I am also searching for a 05-07 classic body duramax 4X4 Crew Cab under 100K miles if anyone happens to know of one. GMC or Chevy with a solid service record history vs large gaps between odometer updates. I am not concerned over a minor car fax but have been amazed at the number of odometer roll backs that I have come across while on this search. Some are found through carfax and autocheck, some have had to be determined by digging into the ECM stored data and the stored data on the cluster. I have had a couple of northern trucks inspected but the rust on the rockers really doesn't sit well with me and I'm afraid I wont be inclined enough nor will our local mechanics be inclined enough to know the tricks of working on them. It may be the same truck but they certainly don't like to come apart the same!!! I cant bring myself to buy previous Canadian considering age. I'm looking for the old mans truck, we've all seen them, just nearly impossible to find when your actively searching. My dumbass passed up 2 over the passed up 2 over the past year and at prices that I had no idea how good they were. Win some, lose some I guess!

Well, that's enough long winded typing from me tonight. Thanks for the compliment!

Have a good night!
