He's doing great, thanks for asking. I can't wait to see this one when you are finished.....I'm still trying to find the time to install my OME lift, might give it a shot this weekend.

can anyone tell me about these connectors on the transfer. i know that they are controlled with the vsv for 4wd. i took the harness off the manual transfer so it will plug up to my wiring harness so i dont have the plugs for these two. just wanted to know how to wire them in
toyota 025.webp
toyota 026.webp

One of the plugs is a switch to indicate "Neutral" in the t-case. The function of the other switch, escaped my mind. I just finished rebuilding a t-case with a brand new H55F for an HJ61. Don't ever pull start your engine. 400+ psi in the cylinders will find the weakest link: your tranny. Otherwise get a heavy duty suspension to accommodate that power-plant. You can also plum in an air-vacuum kill switch to turn of the motor...instead of an EDIC.

"i know that they are controlled with the vsv for 4wd." that is incorrect. The 4WD switch actuates the VSV to move the diaphragm in the vacuum pot, on the front of the t-case. This engages the front drive-shaft. Those other switches are just there to put a light indicator on your instrument cluster. Not something very crucial. I hope you received a vacuum canister with your power-plant.

I'm going to my shop today. I'll bring home an FSM and check out the schematics. For simplicity sake, i would convert the t-case into a manual shifter.

Love know how you gonna do that .. please take lots of pics ..

got everything hooked up today. vacum resorvoir, throttle cable and vsv for the transfer and also the air filter assembly. went to turn the key, the starter solenoid activates but does not turn the starter? so i pulled the starter off because it sounded like the teeth were hitting the flywheel. i checked the starter outside of the truck with a battery and ground and it works. i also pulled the teeth out wedged a rubber hose in it to see if it was lining up with the flywheel teeth and it does. put everything back on properly and it tried to turn the engine once. tried it again and just the solenoid fired? any suggestions. anyone
