Use OEM Toyota CVs. The 100 is very particular with the CVs and plenty of guys on here have had issues with brand new aftermarket.

As part of an insurance claim, both of my fronts were replaced (but with aftermarket). I’ve had nothing but popping from the D/S ever since.

Seems like he DS is the problem side.

The noise seems to be happening most when decelerating and also coming to a stop

Did you remove yours? Or did it fly off on the highway? My wife’s flew off on the high way and I’m currently looking for one.

For the holes. I was planning on getting some buttton head Allen bolts and painting them black.

Truck came without it but I’ve torn one off on the trail before.

That nut looks like a good idea thanks!!

anybody have a 16" 100 wheel laying around? With a tire even better. I need one for a spare as the last 100 I bought had a 6 lug wheel for the spare and it screwed me hard when I had a flat.

story gets better they didn't have the hex head key to lower the spare on the 100 in the tool bag... I may have been pissed at this point, cut the spare tire cable to drop the spare, get it lifted and went to put it on....BOOM 6 lug spare on top of that sh** show.... in short yes very much haha

@dbbowen ...

I had a horrible noise in a front wheel similar to what you are describing. Sounded really bad.

The retaining clip for the brake pad pins had come loose and the pins were backing out and rubbing the inside of the wheel. It sounded way worse.

Check for stupid things like that too.

I think I have one or two. In fact, I think one has a brand new tire on it (albeit, one from 1998)

Good call, it’s been raining so I haven’t been able to check it out. This will be the first thing I look at

Friends,

I'm selling my 100 Series.

Posted it on CL and just putting a reference to it here in the clubhouse**

***because the only experience more painful than selling something on Craigslist, is selling something on MUD general classifieds.

Pass the word if you know anyone looking for a head start towards a built rig.

Thanks,
