When they come out looking like this clean up is real fun

For those of you wanting to put a Tesla style radio in your 100 you will just about need an electrical engineering degree as it is not plug and play in the slightest way. None of the pre-wired plugs that came with the unit from Phoenix plugged into my 2000 Land Cruiser OEM radio harness. Unit comes without instructions of any kind and requires disassembling your HVAC control head and using one of the boards with the CAN interface.
Step one was to make it plug in so I cut all the plugs off and connected to the aftermarket connector that was on the Alpine I removed. Once powered up the Climate Control was INOP and the CDL was not functional. CDL will not work unless you repin the harness to the CAN interface module. See pic of correct wire color configuration.

Once powered on will need to be completely reconfigured for a US 100 Series which requires a 4 digit PIN number. For the math nerds out there you already know you only have a 1 in 10,000 chance of guessing that correctly. The unit I have is from Phoenix Automotive and could not find any information as far as a PIN goes. Could not call them for support as I was not the one that originally purchased it. I got it from another mud member who decided that the installation was over his head and just wanted it gone. Luckily all of these things are made by the same company but sold under a variety of brands stateside. I found a PIN (8861) for a Rhino version that worked. Was just about ready to use it for target practice with my 45. As expensive as these things are you would think that the US distributors would at least verify they are ready to go before selling them to their customers.

This is the unit I now have Shop now [ G6 octa-core ] 12.1" Vertical Screen Android 11 Navi Radio for Toyota Land Cruiser LC100 1999 - 2002 - https://phoenixautomotiveinc.com/products/g6-octa-core-12-1-vertical-screen-android-navi-radio-for-toyota-land-cruiser-lc100-1999-2002

We will see how long it lasts. So far so good as the lag is barely noticeable.

To save future frustration PIN is 8861
