There is no 4.56 regear kit for the 100. However, there is a 1.1 underdrive regear for the T-case.
The front diff uses the same gears as the 80 series and so there is a drop in 4.56.
The 80 series rear 4.56 can be installed but requires additional parts… basically a hybrid of 80 & 100 parts. That is how some of us regeared before 100 aftermarket gears were made available. The 80 rear R&P is not as robust as the 100 but it has not been an issue in over 15 years I’ve ran it.
If still interested, @cruiseroutiftters can probably set you up.

definitely interested. noticed the front was available but couldn't find the rear. Undergrive t-case re gear i have looked into but don't love the idea of the potential associated gear whine. I think ideally id work out a way to get a 4.56 rigged up, even if it requires some additional rigging, so long as it doesn't risk affecting overall vehicle function through the use of the additional parts/ the less robust 80 series rear R&P.
Should I just bite the bullet and do a 4.88 and live with the slightly higher 80mph (~2-300) rpm? The current setup is 33" (06 5spd VVti) but I think ideally would run something right around 34", not looking to move to 35s.
Once or twice a year towing HEAVY like #6500 pounds (boat & trailer) through a few mountain passes.
Main goal here is
1) more kick-off the line and city driving (80% of my driving)
2) don't decimate 80mph mpg for road trips with higher rpm
3) increase power/acceleration for towing
Additionally, id like to put in DT headers and a borla cat back exhaust system. Anyone have experience with how this will give the car some more oomf? Worthwhile?
Long before there were 100/200 specific gears we were using the standad 9.5" stuff in the 100 rears with conversion parts so we are absolutely familiar with it. I will say the underdrive t-case gears have made that nearly irrelevant. While we've certainly heard from customers experiencing slightly more t-case noise, it's not a common complaint nor do we notice it with most installs we do.

Honestly, from someone who has DT headers and a catback, you are definitely not going to have to worry aout hearing your gear noise if you do the transfer case underdrive.
