1+1=1 Popup Toy Hauler Build

He said 180 which puts the front at the back. Not sideways.
Do you have proper tongue weight with or without the toys? If it is with, Then without them it will be wanting to lift you back up. And vice versa.
You may want to take into account that you may replace your toys, add or delete items as time goes by.
Having the camper balance the trailer a little light without toys may be the best solution. Now if you make everything modular, you could rebuild it as thing change.

I totally missed the 180* part of the statement. It's already on the trailer and rotating it 180* would be a PITA.

I am trying to plan on hauling two quads with the growth of a RZR eventually which weighs approx 1000 lbs. I will probably have the popup positioned closer to the back to do just that for when it is loaded w/ ATVs and the such.

I wish we could have hung out in Granbury when I lived there. I loved that little town. Favorite place I have ever lived.

We like it here. Quite with plenty of room, and with fun and unique stuff to do and close to Ft. Worth.

As a matter of fact yes. I haven't been doing a very good job of documenting this, but here are a few pics.

My plan is to take it to a shop and have them cutout diamond plate that will face both sides of the popup right above the horizontal "pinstripe" on the camper. The top of the diamond plate will sit right under where it says "Viking" and bottom will overlap the bottom of the camper. This will cover the wheel well and help balance the look. They will also make cutouts for all the lights, hose connectors, heater vent, etc.

I also went to discount tire yesterday and bought 4 new wheels. It will help clean up the look a bit.

My front deck is going to be 118"L x 102"W, which should give me room to haul a 4wheeler and a Polaris RZR.

Behind the popup I have a small recessed storage area for coolers, gas cans, and what ever else.

I have to finish attaching my floor and run my electrical and I should be good to go.

I've wondered why no one did this before. Good on you for doing this finally. I thought of doing this on to a FJ45 box trailer, sort of a lifted tent trailer with underneath storage.

Great idea, wow!

Here are a few more pictures from this weekend. I got the lights wired and hooked up. I still have to wire the brakes up and do a bit more welding but it is getting there. I bought new wheels which I hope to get mounted this week which will change the total look.

Very cool!

Thanks! Like any other project it has been a lot of fun figuring out the design. My goal was to make it wide enough to fit a Polaris RZR S side ways and the put a 4 wheeler in front of that. I see you have a RZR 4, how do you like it. I'm looking at the 2011 or 2012 S's.

I know this screws up the plan, but the "4" is so damn awesome. It has many, many plusses over the "S" and really gives up nothing.

Some rockcrawling I did this summer

Ya Nolen, that really does throw a wrench in my plans! :D I think I'll have to stick w/ a S model as my trailer wouldn't have the room for a 4.

Those pictures are awesome! I have been wanting to finish this trailer so I can start looking for a RZR. They look like they are so much fun. We typically go to CO during the summer once, maybe twice to ride trails, and I think the RZR would be a blast up there. We are currently trying to plan a trip to AR, maybe around Mena somewhere to go for a maiden camping voyage in the popup hauler. Have to get it finished first though!

Picked up my new 31" BFG All Terrains and got them mounted on my new steel wheels, totally finishes the look of the trailer.

I also bought this small accessory a couple days ago for the front of the trailer! 2011 RZR S. Got it "used" and it had 4.5 hours on it and was bought 8/27/11, its not even broken in yet!

Not sure what we are going to do yet. I have to be in Conway, AR for work Thursday afternoon and after that we are open to whatever. It sure would be nice to make it to the crawl and we would be very close to you guys. How is the riding and camping there? This will be my daughters first wheeling trip so I need to have easy trails for her.

Superlift is full, except for their overflow. I'm checking out the KOA. If I stay at the KOA, can I ride the RZR to the superlift park or does it have to be trailered?

Just unload it and leave it at my spot
