All,

I am not happy at all with the fit of my CCOT front fenders and would like to order Toyota fenders. I have heard that there are still some available for certain years.

Does anyone have the part numbers that I can give to my dealer? I don't want to send them on a wild goose chase trying to find what parts are still available.

I tried searching and I tried the FAQ.

Thanks!

I don't think asking your local dealer's parts guy to look up something as simple and obvious as a fender is asking for too much, especially of you are sincere about buying it there. It's their job. But then again I don't know your parts guy. It's not like you asking them to look up a part or option that was never imported for crying out loud.

Why not PM CDan on this forum?

Any fender is going to fit badly on a +30 something year old vehicle that possibly had some twists, maybe a collision somewhere in its past or the dreaded PO symptoms. Nothing bolts right up to our trucks and everything requires some tweaking. Judging from the engine swaps from the link in your sig line, that should be a one-bannana job!

Yeah,

I saw somewhere that it is only a certain year fender that is available. I would rather have something to help the parts guy with rather than have him spend all day trying to find it for me. I get a nice discount, so I try not to make things too hard ;-P

As for the fenders, I am sure that none fit correctly, but there is really nothing here that could be bent - the fenders are just CRAP!

You can also buy new fenders from cruiserparts.net. I got a passenger side fender new from them that is supposed to be discontinued from Toyota. I also got a new hood by the way...

I remembered reading something a while back when I downloaded the EPC. Here is the blurb -

Now, there are different data CDs that go with the EPC depending upon which
country you live in Europe, Japan, etc. The version that I have is for Europe.
However, thanks to Toyota's part numbering system you can use PNC (not sure
what it stands for) which is the first 6 or 7 digits of the part number to
identify which part you need. The rest of the number is refered to as a
"locator number" and determines which country, color, trim package, year, etc.
that you have. All of the PNC numbers that I have checked so far, match up
with the microfiche that I have for my car (91T). If you are concerned about
whether a given part number matches, send me the number and I'll double check
it with my microfiche or local dealership.

Wow, that does fit badly. Looks like the only way to make that thing fit decently would be to 'modify' the apron...sounds simpler than it may be in reality! Good luck and let us know what you find out.

if you have the epc you should find a ton of #'s depending on year and model ,heres some for the right hand side . just have to find a parts guy with some time and patience to check the warehouse stock . the new epc they use may already be able to tell them without a phone call . these #'s are taken from the 2007 EPC for U.S. should be good

Actually, if I were to try to fix it I would rather drill out the welds on the fender and fix it the right way.

I just don't have the will left - been doing bodywork for what seems like an eternity. I just want something I can put on with little hassle, and paint!

Left-- 53820-90348 / right-- 53810-90341 work for me.... CCOT fenders suck!
