    How to tell when the shocks have flogged out and how to correctly measure lift height for specifying replacements ?

    ie. can any 1hz be swapped for any other 1hz? Are there any design differences on the later 1hz's (such as the ones Toyota still makes for 79's in some markets) compared to really early ones like the 1hz in my 80 from the factory in march 1992?

    Would you strap a turbo kit to a 1hz with 700 k km's + on the odo ???

    I used to ask myself the same question 7 or so years ago when the vehicle was at 600 k km's and never could really resolve the issue in my head. I know it will need the valve shims done plus the usually 100 k km stuff of replacement t-belt, tensioner, water pump and t-stat to make it viable for the next 100 k km's of life...

    Do you have a greasing schedule for tail/propshafts and uni-joints? What about front swivel hubs? wheel bearings ?

    I'm not sure what the factory spec is for servicing/greasing those components. The swivel hubs as we know are not a sealed space. Tail/prop shafts can be a pita if grease nipples on them and uni-joints are in an awkward position. I'm not sure about what the spec is for wheel bearing service...
