Hey fellow mudders!!
Saw an email blast from CruiserCorp a few weeks ago " OEM Dash Pads are Back in Stock! "
CruiserCorp
Kinda couldn't believe they found some OEM dash pads somewhere...suspicious enough that I emailed them "are you sure - I can't believe it?"
CruiserCorp assured me - OEM...

This tire was my spare...it has never been anywhere except tucked up underneath the truck in the spare spot. It's a little dirty but otherwise like new...still...

(this has been my kit so far)
this is generally how the rig looks when I'm prepped for a summer of road trips & fly fishing...

Well - the old girl is going under the knife for some much needed water leak repairs and paint work.
pull the front fenders and re-seal up any body seams that might be allowing water into the footwells
pull the windshield ( it was the original - had about 9 good sized rock chips)
fix any rust...
hopefully an easy question
cruiser is going in for a respray of the roof. and i’m gonna replace the entire roof perimeter trim
does anyone know of a kit that comes with all the pieces as one order?
looks to my eyes like 5 different pieces + 4 of the seams and every part is a diff #...
happy post thanksgiving to everyone - hope everyone's plumbing has survived!
a few inquiries for the cruiser family.
I'm getting closer to being able to scrape together funds for a 1HDT that pops up for sale (eventually) and I have a shop that can do the swap for me, and I have wife...
anyone else ever notice strong smell of gear oil wafting into the cabin after having been in 4 hi/4-lo for a while?
I just spent a few weeks fishing for salmon and needing to be in 4 Lo for a while - building up a fair bit of heat - the cabin smells like gear oil.
I suspect (hopefully) it's...
anyone out there bored enough with 2020 and/or covid lockdown that they need a diversion?
care to provide arm-chair mechanic insights into the condition of these spark plugs?
disregard the gap note...that was reminder to myself for the new ones.
they have been in service for a little over...
I have a list of projects that my FJ62 needs - i'd like to get a replacement drivers side front fender for the truck.
firewall body seam sealing (water leaks into the drivers side floorboards)
headlight wiring refresh
2nd battery on drivers side
my original drivers side front fender has some...

I upgraded my center console to a "new" one in slightly better condition than this one...so this is a freebie to anyone in the portland metro area that wants to meet up and take it.
prefer to not have to hassle with shipping since it's rather large so boxing it up and shipping is...
calling all 60 series owners that have done a 12HT or 1HDT swap...
i posted this question over in the diesel tech forum - tons of views - no replies.
(for what it's worth - i've posted several questions in that forum and no one ever replies)...
i've got an 88 FJ62 that I'm planning to swap out the original 3FE for a 1HDT next spring after some major home improvement projects are behind me.
my wife asked a question: will the diesel swap make the truck smelly. (fair question)
my guess is yes? these are not catalyzed modern clean...
figured i’d share a fun “upcycle” project.
i work in tech. my company was moving out of some leased cage space from a rack space type of company. Vendor expects all our stuff out of their cage before billing stops...so we disassembled the rack equipment, server cabinets, etc...
turns out...
is there any chance this end of the steering stabilizer where it connects to the frame is a threaded connection?
i’ve been beating the sheeite out of it to no avail. odd too cuz for the rest of my truck i’ve yet to find anything seized or frozen stuck.
maybe this is threaded together? or its...
2 part question
1: I'd like to totally disassemble my rear doors - pull the door cards, clean everything up - new weather strip, etc... and while i'm there I want to take all the glass out - replace the corner window glass (for some reason my glass is pretty scratched up) and at the same time...
wondering if anyone else has changed out all their old worn out weather stripping with city racer seals - and had issues getting the rear hatch to close correctly?
i did all the seals on the rear hatch with city racer reproductions - and the fit/quality is superb...but my only complaint is now...
looking to purchase an ARB (or other brand) awning to provide for shade on several road trips planned this summer.
just a general inquiry for anyone that has purchased/installed one of the ARB awnings...anyone care to share long term owner review info?
clearly they seem pretty reasonably...
I've got about 1500 miles on my brand new H55 now - and want to drain the fluid and refill, and while I'm at it install the new hex head plugs from valley hybrids
First thought seeking opinions: i'm going to try royal purple synthetic gear oil - per recommendation from fellow mudder. my H55...
