I have never done a Blackstone report but decided to do one on this last change.
I was feeling pretty guilty, I live just far enough out of town that its to long to walk to town where I work everyday, but not really far enough away to warm up the engine all the way. I typically ride my bike...
I have been running the same size as the Jegs one, but I have the Amazon knock off version. I have run it as long as I have had the supercharger on my truck that I installed at 260,000 and now have 309,000. Roughly every 3,000 miles is about when I drain it. I have stretched it to my 5,000 mile...
Also big congrats to my dad on getting his 1979 FJ40 that he has owned since new back on the road after a 4 year engine rebuild. He had some health issues come up that slowed down the timeline, but he got it done. And man does it purr. His cruiser started it all for me.
Ran home for a much needed Land Cruiser love weekend. In one full day we accomplished the following:
Cut off Landtank 4inch brackets
Install Delta VS 5L Arms
Delta VS frame reinforcement welded on
Red Head Steering Box
Paper clip delete/Amazon power steering cooler
All new power steering...
With my limited knowledge and lack of research, I was always a little unsure with the ECU swap neccasary for running the 5 speed how it would deal with a supercharger. After all it is a OBD1 ECU.
Come to find out it does indeed work! For your viewing please here is a supercharged and manual...
I did not. I knew I did not have the patience or time to rewrap my wheel. My 80 is my daily. I bought this one off Ebay. 20 min swap.
But hey if you want a new (old) steering wheel to play around with you can have mine!
Very true. I was very lucky, finding another 80 with a SC and donating it to my truck. It will be fun to see when LandTank gets his supercharger kit to market with a modern blower design.
With over 300k miles on my 1FZ, I often contemplate the eventual need for a rebuild or perhaps considering a swap. I've been with my truck since it had 190k miles, and for the last 60k, I've enjoyed the added power of a supercharger. Living at 8,000 feet and regularly tackling the I70 from...

I really like it. Also really like there floormats as well. Same kind of material as the dash mat. I had weather techs...
It's been roughly a year since I last posted, so I guess its time for a annual update/ramble!
Cruiser has been the daily driver since I moved out of my folks home last November. When I pulled out of the driveway it had 288,500 miles on the clock it now has just under 304,000 miles. 16,500...
I have the depos you originally posted. Bought them off the same eBay page and all. They are GLASS. I truly am a big fan of them. Throw out a lot more light.
When I put them on, I also installed some LED bulbs off Amazon in them, and let me tell you they are BRIGHT. As far as the corner...
Little late to post, we had our first real snow in Aspen a little over a week ago. Decided to drive up the back side of AJAX and see how much snow is at the top. It was absolutely beautiful and there was probably about a foot of snow at the top. Got to break out the winch and pull a tree out of...
