@FlatlandTRD my driveway looks like someone squashed papa smurf! That Valspar industrial paint sticks to anything!!!

Bought a set of winter tires/wheels for the Tacoma. So that should guarantee a mild winter. Test fit looks pretty good.

Tow rig was due for some maintenance and repair. For the second time, with 212k miles on the odo, I replaced the timing belt, water pump, and spark plugs. Went ahead and replaced the 15 year old factory thermostat while I was in there. Did go ahead and reuse the serpentine and tensioner/idler since those got done on the side of the road in Veil earlier this year... Also replaced the steering rack and all tie rod ends as it was wandering pretty bad. Didn't realize how bad it was until it was fixed!

Toyota says the timing belt is good for 90k miles. Both belts I've replaced looked fantastic with 106k on them. New on the left, old on the right.

Did forget to disconnect the battery before pulling the alternator. That fuse is only used in 04-07 Sequoias, so you won't be getting it same day from the dealer...

Pulled the pickup out of storage and did some work on it to prep for Tuttle. Welded on the flat bed kit I got last year after blasting and painting it. New cheap seat covers like @kc_chevota bought. New Pioneer 6x9s for trail tunes. Fixed the windshield washer (since it has a windshield now). Started making taillight pods out of the bed side remnants.

To better prepare for future projects, recently completed some welding courses at JCCC. Why I’ve had to miss some things. Got to try flux, stick & mig, and cutting with plasma & Oxy. Moving on to sub panels and welders!

glad they still offer that class.. I took that in the late 90's. Right when autodark helmets first came out. Finally upgraded my helmet.. Buy right and you will never upgrade.
