I finally had all seats ready to reinstall into the empty 40. I can't tell you how happy I am with the upgrade- not only the looks but they're so damn comfortable. It took me 3 years to get to it, wish I had done it sooner. I think it took me...

First PLA prototype printing as I type this! This one will be used to check dimensions, design, etc.

Hey all! So with the sudden discontinuation of the OEM 04152-60060 oil filter.... early 40series owners were left in a weird spot. Oil filters are a mission critical item and not having an easy option is unacceptable. Now I get that we were lucky...

I sell those parts. It’s kind of disappointing how readily I am looked to for tech, and how easily I am overlooked as a parts resource.☹️

Yes, and a get a plastic fan too. Cruiser outfitters would be able to hook you up with new stuff for sure.

This beauty of a 1967 FJ40 was spotted in Marysville, TN….the owners own Swara Taproom….the beer is cold, the service is impeccable. On special occasions, the beer taps on the Cruiser can accommodate.

Nice, calm summer day today, so I decided to do some painting. First up was undercoating. I went through a couple can of Dupli-Color rubberized undercoat/sound deadener, and was able to undercoat the rear wheel tubs and the underside of the cargo...

1962 FJ40. The rail is one piece and there is a ~3/4 inch gap at the top door frame.

Think the only differences was between soft top and hard top versions but not positive. There should be a panel there. https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/north-carolina-door-headers-from.1364474/#post-15998578

When my master failed I would be stopped and gradually lose brake pressure and the truck would start moving unless I pressed harder. Here is the FSM booster test...

Really not much different than just removing the bin except the headlight shows all the mounts and adjustments. This is an FJ25 minus the chrome rings and bars Infront of the radiator.

OP asked about cruisers with no bezels, was just an idea to see how it looks.

Check out pics of FJ25's. They don't have bezels but have cross bars that go across the opening.

I figured it out so I wanted to circle back and let folks know in case they are interested in using this switch, especially in a negative/ground trigger configuration. Since I was using a negative/ground trigger, I had to deviate a bit from...

vfrer replied to the thread 78 FJ40 Rear opening measurement.
I measured a new rear floor and mid bed panel (real steel) and they both were 40 7/8" From this image it appears that the factory dimension is 1015mm which is more like 40" but as you found they are typically closer to 41".
