Other people have reported that the CD changer doesn't work even tho there is a control setting for it. I wonder if you can add a usb CD player?
I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to use a USB CD drive. I'm using an external USB hard drive, and it was recognized immediately.

LC 2006

12.1 Tesla Specs: PX3, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, Android 7.1 Nougat

Issues:
1. Airbag light sensor (on/off) not turning on on right side panel
2. Sound not working (working with seller on Alibaba, and I will check other settings) with the RCA cables. I don't want to hack the wires yet.

Bluetooth quality is good. Apple CarPlay is via a 3rd party called Zlink (I think). Charging on the OTG port is very slow. I would still use a rapid charger if you need your phone charged quickly

I play a lot of YouTube music while driving and the audio comes through great. No video from the phone to the radio though. Probably going to load YouTube on the radio and tether to the phone for data.

Haven’t really found the long boot up time as a deal killer. By the time I start the vehicle up and get it into reverse its about ready to go. I like the five second boot up I’m hearing on newer units though

I know I am late to the party but I can’t seem to find my answer. I have the auto climate controls in my 1999 lx470. Will the headunit for a 2003-2007 auto work or am I sol?

Just to be clear, the LC version doesn't work on a LX, right? If they can get the OEM backup camera working, I'd be more interested.

2004 LX470 using the LC radio. No issues so far. I had to modify my LX cassette trim though.

Sorry. No the 6V factory camera did not work. I installed a new HD camera and love the clarity. Bought a second one to mount up front.
Ok that’s what I thought.

Was the camera swap pretty easy? Did you have to run new cables? I was thinking of just splicing INTL the existing cable so I didn’t have to re run it.

I think the two hardest parts of the install were putting back all of the cables behind the radio in the dashboard and routing the cable for the back up camera. It’s not that running the camera cable was that difficult it was just very time-consuming and took lots of planning to make it clean.
I’ll try and post pictures and how to soon.

My hands were bloodied and bruised for a at least a week after installation. There is not a single millimeter of extra space in the dash behind the radio.

I'm sort of convinced that the wires & cables stuffed back there are the reason my side vents don't line up perfectly, but I just can't bear the thought of taking it all out and trying to find a better fit now that I've fully healed. My health insurance would probably cancel me.

Do your A/C controls work properly? Did you do something special for them to work? I have not been able to put mine to work properly.

Any help will be appreciated!

Thank You!
