I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to use a USB CD drive. I'm using an external USB hard drive, and it was recognized immediately.Other people have reported that the CD changer doesn't work even tho there is a control setting for it. I wonder if you can add a usb CD player?
You can't see the screen from any sort of angle with polarized lenses; only from directly in front of it. I switched to non-polarized specifically because it was annoying to crane my neck every time I wanted to look at the screen. How is the screen viability while wearing polarized sunglasses?

2004 LX470 using the LC radio. No issues so far. I had to modify my LX cassette trim though.Just to be clear, the LC version doesn't work on a LX, right? If they can get the OEM backup camera working, I'd be more interested.
OEM camera works with it?2004 LX470 using the LC radio. No issues so far. I had to modify my LX cassette trim though.
Sorry. No the 6V factory camera did not work. I installed a new HD camera and love the clarity. Bought a second one to mount up front.OEM camera works with it?
Ok that’s what I thought.Sorry. No the 6V factory camera did not work. I installed a new HD camera and love the clarity. Bought a second one to mount up front.
I think the two hardest parts of the install were putting back all of the cables behind the radio in the dashboard and routing the cable for the back up camera. It’s not that running the camera cable was that difficult it was just very time-consuming and took lots of planning to make it clean.Ok that’s what I thought.
Was the camera swap pretty easy? Did you have to run new cables? I was thinking of just splicing INTL the existing cable so I didn’t have to re run it.
My hands were bloodied and bruised for a at least a week after installation. There is not a single millimeter of extra space in the dash behind the radio.I think the two hardest parts of the install were putting back all of the cables behind the radio in the dashboard and routing the cable for the back up camera. I’ll try and post pictures and how to soon.
Have you called Rhino radio? they list 1998-2002 LC and LX. It would be worth it to check with them and verify. I have a group buy going with them that expires soon. Would save you 15%.Bummer this isn't compatible with the 2000 LX
LC 2006
12.1 Tesla Specs: PX3, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, Android 7.1 Nougat
Issues:
1. Airbag light sensor (on/off) not turning on on right side panel
2. Sound not working (working with seller on Alibaba, and I will check other settings). I don't want to hack the wires yet.
